A cute read about the power of love. In The Spinster's Bed by Sally Mackenzie is a beautiful story filled with forgiveness, second chances and a hint of divine intervention. Wrapped in the blush of young love neither Belle or William expected things to end the way they did. Twenty years later each is still haunted by memories and what ifs. Belle is a character that can break your heart. Through her strength and courage she was determined not be a victim but make the best of what life had given her. William never felt good enough and always felt like he had to prove his worth. Are Belle and William destined to reunite only to lose each other again? I did not want to end. Margaret and Justin are not your everyday couple. Bold and boisterous Justin is a man of action. He is used to shocking and is not afraid to do so. Margaret is used to following rules and staying in the shadows. Not wanting to draw attention to herself, she does what is expected of her. What neither realizes is that they are each playing a role. Used to playing out the script that has always been written but yearning for more. In some areas this story comes across dated and aggravating. However as I continued to read A Radical Arrangement, I found a story of two people that bring out in each other all of qualities that they lack in themselves. Jane Ashford's story of acceptance, love and growth is beautifully written, all you have to do is read between the lines. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoy reading Carly Phillips.  Her stories range from deeply emotional, to comedic masterpieces or coming of age.  Dare to Rock has all of the above.  Grey has lived every dream he's always wanted but he left behind his most cherished possession his heart.  That belongs to Avery.  Avery's struggle with lifelong insecurities stem from childhood.  In Grey she believed she had found the one person who would put her first and not skip out on her.  Looks like she was wrong.  My introduction to the Dare family was with Dare to Love (Ian and Riley) and Dare to Desire (Alex and Madison).  Dare to Rock lives up to Carly Phillips legacy of great romance.  The Dare to Love series are great stories that touch the heart and show the strength of the human spirit.  I received an ARC of Dare to Rock in exchange for an honest review.

Trouble When You Walked In is a feel good read. Kieran Kramer created a well written read that combines the small town feel with big city problems. I found this novel to be amusing and touching. I had a wonderful time reading about Cissie and Boone. Each time I thought I could not laugh any harder, I was proven wrong. Cissie and Boone's quests to get the best of each other was funny, sexy and captivating. I love finding new authors to read. Maureen Child is a favorite author of mine. I own many of her earlier works including all of her King's of California series. Having her Boss's Baby was a great story. Brady wants to belong. He has never had the traditional family and craves that. Aine has always had family she can count on. She wants to prove that she can be counted on in return. I liked this story. The main characters were attention holders. The obstacles were believable. I will say there could have been a bit more chemistry between Aine and Brady. That though was not a deal breaker for me because what it lacked in chemistry was made up for in emotion. I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review.
