SYNOPSIS

Let author Audra North show you the passion and swoon-worthy romantic love that only the sexy Stanton men can deliver. This special edition boxed set features all four of the beloved Stanton Family novellas for one low price.

Find your perfect love with just one click.

Falling for the CEO

Finance genius Meredith Klaus prefers numbers to people, especially around the holidays. At least the large sum of money that’s mysteriously vanished from the company accounts will distract her from the ghosts of Christmases past. Until her sexy boss asks her to be his last-minute date to a fundraiser gala, that is. A beautiful dress. A handsome man on her arm. A challenge she can’t refuse. Can Meredith and Andrew find the missing money and fulfill their holiday wishes, or will Meredith be unable to overcome the demons of her past and lose her chance at happiness?

One Night in Santiago

Lily Stanton's vacation goes from bad to worse when a storm strands her in a foreign country, arguing with an arrogant—and very sexy—stranger over the last available hotel room. Successful CEO Bruno Komarov wasn't expecting the gorgeous woman checking in at the reception desk to challenge him over a room. Even more surprising, he actually enjoys their exchange. Lily proposes a compromise—she'll take the bed and he can sleep on the couch. It'll be strictly business. After all, what could possibly happen in just one night?

A Lesson in Temptation

Adam Harkness pulled himself out of poverty to become one of the world's most respected finance professors, but his personal life is non-existent. When he gets roped into a dance class, of all things, he doesn't expect it to change his life. Julie Stanton's hard work has paid off with her career, but finding the same happiness in the rest of her life is a challenge. When her former professor, the one she had a crush on in college, shows up at the same dance class, their tango becomes more than a dance; it becomes a lesson in how to love.

Healing Her Heart

Dr. Greg Stanton is looking for ways to de-stress in the aftermath of losing a patient, and getting hot and heavy with Carrie Jankowski sounds like just what he needs to forget his high-stress life for a while. He doesn’t have time for anything long-term—his only focus is and has always been the well-being of the patients whose lives are in his hands. But when Carrie accepts his straightforward terms of a no-strings relationship, they realize too late that they won’t be satisfied with sex alone...

REVIEW:  THE STANTON FAMILY BOXED SET BY AUDRA NORTH

Stanton Family Boxed SetStanton Family Boxed Set by Audra North

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first Audra North book. I received an ARC of The Stanton Family Boxed Set in exchange for an honest review. That it turned out to be a set of four romances proved to be a pleasant surprise. Full of personality, blessed with money and sex appeal, the Stantons are an interesting lot. Sensuous, entertaining stories.

Falling for the CEO - Meredith and Andrew were my favorite couple. The sentimentality of the holidays was a beautiful backdrop for this adorable story.

One Night In Santiago - Bruno and Lily were the surprise. One Night In Santiago started out blah and ended up being an unexpected joy. There was mystery, a little adventure and a whole lot of attitude. Made for a hot read.

A Lesson in Temptation - A Lesson in Temptation was a sexy yet comedic look at the dance of love. Julie and Adam were used to hard work but not how to cut loose. A little relaxation goes a long way with this uptight couple.

Healing Her Heart - I was not a fan of Healing Her Heart. Having been moved by Andrew and Meredith, intrigued by Lily and Bruno, tempted by Julie and Adam, Greg and Carrie came across as an afterthought. I want more than sex appeal. The blueprint was there but the emotions felt forced and for me the story itself fell short.

Sour Grapes (Blue Plate, #2)

SOUR GRAPES (BLUE PLATE # 2) BY RACHEL GOODMAN

Release Date:  May 23, 2016

SYNOPSIS

Uncork this delectable Texas Hill Country romance from the critically acclaimed author of From Scratch, the “smart, sexy, and funny” debut that “piles on the Southern charm” (Publishers Weekly).

Margaret Stokes is bitter. And not in the robust fine wine or tangy dark chocolate kind of way. She just got dumped, is fed up with her job as a glorified party-planner for the rich, and can’t possibly listen to one more veiled insult from her impossible-to-please mother. So she retreats to the comfort of her grandmother’s ramshackle bed and breakfast, where the wide open vineyards are filled with surprises, from the shockingly delicious wine to the aggravating yet oh-so-tempting man who makes it.

Ryan Camden’s easy approach to life encourages Margaret to loosen up and have a little fun, despite her better judgment. She resists the urge to micromanage every detail, embracing the welcome distractions of her surroundings and letting their relationship unfold at a natural rhythm. But when a health scare forces Grammy J to give up the B&B, Margaret begins to wonder if Ryan really is the man he promises—and whether the problems she tried so hard to escape ever really went away.

Sour Grapes (Blue Plate, #2)Sour Grapes by Rachel Goodman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Through NetGalley I have been introduced to a fine author that blends sincerity and laughter to create flavorful characters. Sour Grapes is full of all those adorable hidden touches that feels like a breath of fresh air. Characters that are welcoming and feel like family. Romance that is as simple as it is cute. And an abundant array of love make this read a charmer.

The life she wants is the love he lost.

When Felix answered the summons from his superior he never expected to face Sally Ford, the woman who'd believed a lie and labeled him a fortune hunter before calling off their engagement six years ago. In his determination to clear the air about the past, pride clashes with the truth as every argument and stolen moment reignites a passion that has never waned. Giving in could destroy everything they've both worked so hard to achieve, or will fate offer them a chance to begin again if only they can forgive?

REVIEWTHE WEDDING AFFAIR (REBEL HEARTS) BY HEATHER BOYD

The Wedding AffairThe Wedding Affair by Heather Boyd

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The Wedding Affair by Heather Boyd leaves an impression. Sally allowed others to influence her opinions and ended up hurting herself more than she realized. One act cost her the love of her life and left a trail of heartbreak that has lingered on throughout the years. I received an ARC of Heather Boyd's latest novel in exchange for an honest review. Sally was a character that I found hard to feel anything for. To me she kept making decisions based on emotion, more than common sense. It seemed to me she was her own worse enemy. If you ask me Felix was far too forgiving. I like Heather Boyd because she gives you the true story. Work has to be put in to get to the happily ever after and she doesn't sugar coat the painful on the road to love.

ARC Review: Easy for Keeps (Boudreaux #4.5) by Kristen Proby

I love Kristen Proby. Her stories are irresistible. Her characters are brash but still manage to convey that spark that deeply touches the readers heart. Easy for Keeps massages the heart from all sides. Cute kid, devoted mother, hot guy and possible family. Add in that edge of mystique that New Orleans brings and the senses will overload quickly. I now have to try to play catch up with the rest of the Boudreaux series.

REVIEW:  LAIRD OF THE HIGHLANDS (INTERNATIONAL BILLIONAIRES: THE SCOTS) BY CARO LAFEVER

Laird of The Highlands (International Billionaires: The Scots) by Caro Lafever

Rating:  4 of 5 stars

I have been a reader of the International Billionaires series for a while now.  Have caught up on the books I missed out on and have fell in love with arrogant, controlling, sexy and sensitive characters.  With this series Ms. LaFever has taken the hot guy international and created entertaining, comical and emotional reads. I received an ARC of Laird of the Highlands in exchange for an honest review.  I expected more of the same.  Characters that linger and a romance that frustrates. Caro LaFever delivered on both counts with a little bit of a haunting edge. What I did not expect was to like the story. Ceri is far more feisty than Lorne is bossy.  Everything meshed well.  From the exotic location, the domineering hero and the determined heroine.  Laird of the Highlands had me believing in the impossible and enjoying every minute of it.

REVIEW:  ROUGH TERRAIN (VISTA FALLS) BY CHERYL DOUGLAS

Rough Terrain (Vista Falls #1)Rough Terrain by Cheryl Douglas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sage and Wes were in love. Too young to fully understand that heartbreak was not too far ahead of them. Rough Terrain is a what if story. Faced with a tough choice, Sage makes a decision that she has spent years regretting. She lost Wes, her one true love, and with him went her chance at happiness. I received an ARC of Rough Terrain in exchange for an honest review. Cheryl Douglas is an author that I have become an avid fan of. Her stories are a gritty look into the human soul. Not always pretty but full of sage wisdom and poignant storytelling. With Rough Terrain, she created an atmosphere where the reader was able to glimpse the ramifications youth played in the self-destruction of a love affair that trickled into this couple's adult lives. At the heart of this story is a second chance to mend a broken heart and unite a fractured family.

REVIEW:  SHANAHAN'S REVENGE BY JULIE MAC

Shanahan's RevengeShanahan's Revenge by Julie Mac

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Is righting a wrong worth hurting innocent people? That question is at the center of Shanahan's Revenge. From corporate rivalries, to hidden agendas and past indiscretion. Ms. Mac thrives on grabbing the readers attention. There is nothing wrong with wanting a fair share, the problem is the things done in order to succeed at getting it. I understand the reasoning behind Sam's anger but did not condone some of his actions. Having received Shanahan's Revenge in exchange for an honest review, I found it to be fueled by secrets but lacking in cohesiveness.

REVIEW:  DEFIANT BY KRIS KENNEDY

DefiantDefiant by Kris Kennedy

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Kris Kennedy is very good at writing complicated characters. Her stories are like stepping through a field of land mines and red herrings. Hidden in plain sight are the clues to unlocking the mystery, you just have to figure out where to look. The thrill of solving the puzzle is the attraction of her brand of storytelling. As I get better acquainted with this author I find there is no way of knowing where she will lead you on the quest for the truth and I have always been a sucker for puzzles that are hard to figure out. I received an ARC of Defiant in exchange for an honest review. On the surface there are set sides, the good and the bad but as you delve deeper there proves to be hidden agendas on both sides. Things are not as they seem. At the forefront are characters that are hard to read and a romance that seems out of place, yet I could not fault anything about this story except it ended too soon. 3.5 stars
