My rating: 5 of 5 stars
All the feels leap off the page and grab ahold of the heart. Failure to Seduce turns emotions inside out. Lola and Crew turn unlikely into inevitable. Scott gives heartache a bit of gloss and reveals a beautiful array of heartwarming. From the complexity of the heroine to the temptation of romance and lastly the endearing moments of family and friendship, it's impossible not fall in love with the Sumatra clan in all it's many colors.

This is from chapter 6 and is from Crew's POV.
“Shorty said you wanted to see me?”
Crew pulled a long white envelope from a drawer. “Yes, I did. Its payday,” he said and handed over the check.
Taking the envelope, she opened it, took out the paper, and studied it closely. She glanced back up at him and asked, “What is it?”
His brows pulled together. Who didn’t know what a paycheck was? “That’s what you earned working last week. It’s a paycheck.”
She nodded like she understood, but Crew got the feeling she had no idea and that made him wonder what type of life she’d led to never be concerned with money.
She looked up into his eyes. “What do I do with it?”
He thought she was joking, but the questioning look on her face was nothing but clueless. “You take it to the bank and deposit it or you exchange it for cash.”
She nibbled her lower lip as she continued to examine the front of the check. “This is a lot, isn’t it?”
Crew grinned. She had no concept. “It’s more than most, I suppose.”
She looked back up at him. “I can do whatever I want to with it?”
“You can. It’s your money.”
Her beautiful blue eyes sparkled as she asked, “Can you take me to the bank?”
He figured she would ask that. He’d never met a woman that didn’t love shopping. “Meet me at the truck in thirty minutes.”
“Yes, boss,” she said with a grin and then sprinted from the room with his eyes on her stellar ass...
