#TeaserTuesday
DEATH OF THE WOLF, a sharp, spellbinding adult fantasy from @authormavehathaway is coming on September 24th, and we have an exclusive excerpt!
Darling Mortal Readers,
Lucian Ronnet is the heir apparent to the throne in Palion. Destined to be brought up with a father that hates him, he looks to be alone. Yet I, the benevolent Lord of the Dead, have sent him a friend. It doesn’t appear that my brother Lord Culgan appreciates my thoughtfulness, but all that does is show his small mindedness, right? As Lucian struggles to be taken more seriously, he is also striving to succeed in various other mortal pursuits. Love. Friendship. Boring if you ask me. By the end can I show him the most important aspect to life. Trust. After all, aside from yours truly, who can actually be trusted?

Read a sneak peek of Death of the Wolf!
Harold gazed lovingly out the windows of his study. From this vantage point he could make out his gorgeous wife Larial strolling through the rolling fields of roses rubbing absently at her swollen belly. Warmth rolled through him at the sight of her maid. Finally she had conceded to reason. She was far too pregnant to carry anything even if it was only cut roses. She had a very unique process for picking out which ones were appropriate, looking at the smell, the color, and the size. All of which had to be perfect to grace the halls of their palace.
Roses were her very favorite flower. Once she had joined him in the palace to start their lives together, he had surprised her by planting them in every spare corner of the gardens, choosing varieties that would bloom no matter the season. He would give anything for her smile. He hadn’t had a clue that planting so many would come in handy when she finally got pregnant. Now in the advanced stages, her sense of smell was exponentially intense. He teased her relentlessly about it being due to her wolf shifter genes.
In reality it truly amazed him at how clear she could smell despite the constant cloying aroma of roses. He couldn't even surprise her with her favorite desserts any longer because she could sniff out the chocolate in the air before he rounded the corner.
Death of the Wolf: Preorder is coming soon!
