THE FIX-UP BY TAWNA FENSKE
Release Date: December 14, 2015
SYNOPSIS
Uncovering this sexy geek’s charm is easy. Keeping her hands off of him is impossible.
While he may look like the love child of a movie starlet and an NFL linebacker, Ben Langley has the people skills of a half-drowned porcupine. Why socialize when there are chemistry labs and bad sci-fi flicks? If he has any hope of taking the helm as CEO of the family business, Ben needs an image makeover. Pronto.
Enter Holly Colvin, owner of First Impressions public relations and branding firm, and the woman who just saved Ben from the clutches of an over-attentive sales clerk. Holly’s rebranded hundreds of companies in her career, but she’s never rebranded a person. The guy clearly needs help, though, and she’s just the woman for the job.
With the clock ticking for them both, Holly and Ben face off over wardrobe malfunctions and business jargon that sounds a lot sexier than it should. But can Holly make Ben into the man he thinks he should be without losing the man she’s starting to love?

REVIEW: THE FIX-UP BY TAWNA FENSKE
The Fix Up by Tawna Fenske
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Ben Langley is such a genuine soul that it was hard not to fall in love. Adorably shy, socially awkward and with a genius that is unquestionable. However, somewhere along the way he allowed his insecurity to control him. Backhanded comments from family and friends made him aware that he was different and his tender heart started to break. Holly is a smart, ambitious business woman. On the verge of losing it all. Following her heart cost her dearly in the love department, wrecked her self-esteem and may cost her the business she loves. In order to save it she has to take a chance on a new client. Too bad he makes her want more than just a business relationship.
I received an ARC of The Fix-Up by Tawna Fenske in exchange for an honest review. I thought it was a cute read. Ms. Fenske tackled self-esteem issues in a sweet, yet subtle way. She did so with such class that the lesson did not come across preachy. She also centered that lesson around the male lead learning to listen to his heart. With a little help from fate, he snagged his angel on the first impression.

Roque Gallagher is pouring his heart and savings into his first independent film to make the industry acknowledge him for his talent and not just his family name. Addi’s home is perfect for the shoot, but she’s far too tempting. He’s never been able to handle work and a relationship, and this is the film of a lifetime. Malibu Secrets by M.K. Meredith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I had the chance to read the first book in the Malibu Sights series Malibu Betrayals back in July. Although I thought the story was good the twists and turns proved a little confusing. Malibu Secrets is more my speed. Ms. Meredith has worked her magic once again. Addi and Rogue give the story sparkle, heat and likability. Seeking to prove there is more to them than the family name, each has chosen a difficult road but refuse to give up on their dreams. The sacrifices they make, the secrets kept and emotions involved make this a journey worth taking. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

REVIEW: SLAMDUNKED BY LOVE (ONE-ON-ONE #2) BY JAMIE WESLEY
Slamdunked By Love by Jamie Wesley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A long awaited confrontation. A surprise complication. I found this sport themed read to be a slam dunk and I don't even like basketball. Caitlin is looking for a little payback and ends up discovering that everything happens for a reason. I received an ARC of Slamdunked By Love in exchange for an honest review. Caitlin is a high voltage character. She plunges into situations before she has a chance to think her actions through. She is not a vindictive person but she has allowed her feelings of abandonment to rule her life. Hopefully she'll discover the error of her ways before it becomes too late. Jamie Wesley wrote a story that is an amusing look at learning to forgive as maturity takes hold.

REVIEW: IN DEBT TO THE EARL BY ELIZABETH ROLLS
In Debt to the Earl by Elizabeth Rolls
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Harlequin Historical is not my genre of choice. Has not been in many years. The reason I stopped reading this particularly series is that there was no growth or interest for me. After reading In Debt to the Earl by Elizabeth Rolls, I just might take another look. James has an agenda. To make his enemy pay by any means necessary. Lucy has a goal to survive the life she was born into with her head held high and her heart intact despite her father's abuse. Lucy sold this story for me. Her ordeal broke my heart but it also was wonderful to see a woman become stronger in mind, body and spirit. That is the type of heroine that is motivating to anyone that is facing adversity. I received an ARC of In Debt to the Earl in exchange for an honest review. The redemption and healing they needed was where they least expected to find it.

REVIEW: TUSCAN HEAT (THE BOUDREAUX FAMILY) BY DEBORAH FLETCHER MELLO
Tuscan Heat by Deborah Fletcher Mello
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Through the misunderstandings, conspiracies and matchmaking Donovan had the smarts to follow his heart. Tuscan Heat was presented to me by NetGalley and Harlequin in exchange for an honest review. Donovan and Gianna really aren't that different from each other. Both are successful in the career of their choice, have strong family ties and have the intellect to accomplish anything. I thought the brains proved to be a hindrance. Too much thinking and not enough doing caused them to miss out on experiences that they needed. Ms. Mello created a story with a homey feel that is as mellow as it is sensual.

ROYAL MARRIAGE MARKET BY HEATHER LYONS
Release Date: December 15, 2015
SYNOPSIS
Every decade, the world’s monarchs and their heirs secretly convene to discuss global politics and social issues—and arrange marriages between kingdoms.
Elsa may be the Hereditary Princess of Vattenguldia, but she finds the entire situation archaic and unsavory. While she wants what's best for her country, she isn't about to jump into an unwanted relationship—let alone a marriage—with a virtual stranger. Of course, her feelings matter little to her parents, whose wheeling and dealings over trade pacts and alliances achieved at her expense begin the moment they set foot in California for the Summit. So when a blindingly handsome royal runs into her, she doesn't hesitate to tell him there's no way she's marrying him.
Christian is all too happy to agree: no marriage. As the Hereditary Grand Duke of Aiboland, his main goal is to get through the summit without a bride being foisted on him. Which is why he suggests they help each other field potential intendeds. As Christian slowly gets to know Elsa, though, he realizes they have a lot more in common than just their feelings about the Royal Marriage Market. Only he can't fall for her, because royal or not, they're not meant for each other.
Elsa and Christian will have to evaluate matters of the heart verses those of state and crown, and decide whether or not tradition trumps love.

REVIEW: ROYAL MARRIAGE MARKET BY HEATHER LYONS
Royal Marriage Market by Heather Lyons
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
To believe or not to believe that is the question. I am not very familiar with Heather Lyons as an author. What I do know is that from the moment I came across this story I knew I wanted to read it. Ms. Lyons has a vivid imagination and a unique voice. If I can tell that from one story, what have I been missing out on in the past. Elsa longs for the freedom to make her own choices. Christian is charming, arrogant and in the same situation as Elsa. The burden of birth and responsibility to their people heavily weighs on their minds. Royal Marriage Market is a story about having the strength to follow dreams when the odds are stacked against you.

Marrying Mr. English by Katy Regnery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Eleanora Watters is hard working, passionate and down on her luck. She has a good heart but has issues trusting it. Her outlook is failure only makes a person more determined to succeed. The perfect attitude for the future matriach of a rambunctious brood of testosterone. Thomas English is determined but his focus is fueled not only by success. He knows there is more to life and wants to prove that he can have have it all.
Katy Regnery sprinkles some holiday magic. As a fan of the English family I loved meeting Tom and Eleanora. Seeing the events that started it all and the people who had a hand in creating it was spectacular. It's true, miracles happen when you least expect.
After reading this novella, I know that I have to read this entire series. Wild about Weston and Kiss Me Kate here I come. Ms. Regnery ability to draw the reader in is why I enjoy her stories. I received an ARC of Marrying Mr. English in exchange for an honest review.

Wooed By You by Sophia Knightly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Sophia Knightly has been blessed with the ability to write stories about strong yet vulnerable women. Isabel is a smart young women beaten down by circumstances. For some reason trouble seems to find her no matter how hard she tries to escape it. Her worst mistake is dead and buried but his presence still lingers in her life. Her inability to trust her own judgment is reeking havoc with the stability she is seeking for herself and her daughter. Linc comes into her life when she is at her lowest. Linc is reliable, understanding and trustworthy. Everything her ex was NOT. She finds herself heading down a road she never expected. Can she allow her heart to give the happiness she deserves? Or will she allow her head to lead her astray?
I received an ARC of Wooed by You in exchange for an honest review. There are similarities with another story in the Tropical Heat series-Wild For You. In both stories the strong male lead brought out the spirit of the female lead. That is important because in Wooed By You Isabel's spirit had been crushed and Linc helped her find her way back. A heated thrill ride that gives hope.
