SUGARED (THE MISFIT BRIDES) BY JAMIE FARRELL
SYNOPSIS
When Chicago’s Hottest Snack Cake Heir…
Josh Kincaid went from rags to riches when he was adopted by the family who owns the Sweet Dreams Snack Cakes empire. But now the company is floundering, and Josh will do anything to save his parents the way they saved him. Including using his charm on a small-town wedding cake baker.
Takes on the Misfit Princess of the Bridal Capital of the Midwest…
Kimmie is flighty, she spouts off weird dreams when she’s nervous, and her frizzy hair and fashion sense make her the girl least likely to snare a debonair snack cake heir. But Kimmie can bake a cake that’ll make a grown man cry, and that’s exactly what Josh needs.
They Just Might Find The Recipe for Love
Josh’s plan should be easy, except Kimmie isn’t all cupcake underneath. Her cooperation comes with a price. If Josh wants to save his family’s company, he’ll have to do something he’s never done: be himself.
Cupcakes have never been so terrifying.

REVIEW: SUGARED (THE MISFIT BRIDES) BY JAMIE FARRELL
Sugared by Jamie Farrell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Jamie Farrell lived up to the title with this one. It's hard to walk away from this story without a toothy grin. Josh (the eye candy) has lived a story book life. He was adopted by a family that had it all, a successful business, money and lots of love to give. But now years later, his family is on the verge of losing it all. Unless, he can save them. To do that he needs a plan, a baker and faith. Love was never in the plan but might just be the icing on the cake. Jamie Farrell writes hysterical stories that have the full package: drama, comedy and heart. The reason Sugared worked so well is that Josh needed to realize that he was essential to the family. Kimmie helped him realize that love is what makes a family not blood. No matter how many times I come across that concept in a story I never get tired of it. I received an ARC of Sugared in exchange for an honest review.

MATCHED (THE MISFIT BRIDES) BY JAMIE FARRELL
SYNOPSIS
Welcome Back to Bliss, The Land of Happily Ever Afters!
Lindsey Castellano couldn’t ask for more. She’s the most successful divorce lawyer ever raised in Bliss. (Never mind that she’s the only one.) She’s her nephew’s favorite aunt. (For the moment, anyway.) And thanks to a little gift (or curse) from the universe, she’s an expert at avoiding love, commitment, and inevitable heartbreak. Or so she thought until the night of her sister’s wedding.
Will Truitt might’ve grown up living a country song—his momma died, his daddy went to prison, and his dog ran away—but as an adult, he’s been blessed by the country rock gods. Being Billy Brenton on stage isn’t an honor he takes lightly. He likes to give back what fame has given him, which is how he finds himself happily crashing a wedding in this quirky little bridal-obsessed town. The one thing he isn’t counting on, though, is colliding with the only girl he ever let himself love.
It’s been fifteen years since she shattered his heart. Then, she’d been a sorority girl on her way to the top, and he’d been a lowly janitor with a little bit of a dream. Now he’s on top of the world, and she’s the last person he should need or want.
But she’s the only person who has ever inspired his music. And he’s the only man she’s never been able to forget. Have the years made them wiser, stronger, and better able to love, or this time, will they simply crash and burn harder?

REVIEW: MATCHED (THE MISFIT BRIDES) BY JAMIE FARRELL
Matched by Jamie Farrell
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
Facing life with a positive attitude has managed to get Lindsey to the point that she is content with where her goals took her. Will has lived a life that allows him see things the way they really are. Having had to fight for his dreams he appreciates where he ended up. Yet each has regrets about love and the one that got away. Jamie Farrell's story of overcoming adversity, regrets and second chances is a story that surprised me. The way it's presented is that Lindsey has this great life, which she does but to me she came across as going through the motions. Will is happy with the achievements he has made in his life but wants a second chance at love. The characters existed without each other but when together they realized what had been missing all along. I received an ARC of Matched in exchange for an honest review. Somewhat cheesy but a whole lot of fun.
