SEDUCING THE TYCOON'S BY MK MEREDITH

Release Date:  September 19, 2016

SYNOPSIS

International tycoon Drago De Luca has the world at his feet and he knows it. But back home in Italy, his beloved grandmother's family inn is on the verge of closing down for good, thanks to hotshot American heiress, Chase Huntington, and her new hotel. Drago has to protect Nonna's inn, even if it means getting close enough to Chase to convince her she needs to leave. But the more time he spends with Chase, the more he's drawn to her passion, her love of his culture, and the way she looks in those Louis Vuitton heels.

Chase Huntington would give anything to enjoy her time with charming, sexy-as-hell Drago in the style capital of the world, but she has to make sure the new Huntington hotel opens successfully. How else can she prove she's not just fashionista with a fortune—she’s an heiress savvy enough to take over the family’s biggest hotel back in California? But somewhere between boutiques and business plans, she falls head over Louboutins for Drago. But when Drago's true motive for spending so much time with her comes to light, it could destroy everything Chase built and everything she thought she found in Italy.

REVIEW:  SEDUCING THE TYCOON'S BY MK MEREDITH

Seducing the TycoonSeducing the Tycoon by M.K. Meredith

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One of the foibles of humanity is making mistakes. Making a choice with the best of intentions but the execution ends up not working out like the plan. Drago in theory made decisions to help his family but along the way ended up hurting himself. While reading Seducing the Tycoon, I kept hearing the lyrics to Something Stupid in my head. The song is a cute twist on how an emotional bond and three simple words ("I Love You") can tie a person in knots and change the dynamic of their relationship. Chase got caught in the crossfire of Drago doing "something stupid" and neither would be the same. Ms. Meredith created an adorable story centered around a clueless hero and a insecure heroine. Humour, family, romance and wisdom - this story delivered on all counts.

BRANDED BY CANDACE HAVENS

Release Date:  September 19, 2016

SYNOPSIS

I have my hands full taking care of my little sister and covering for my uncle as ranch foreman. The last thing I need is a Texas princess like Callie Llewellyn getting up in my business and messing with my head.

All I can think of is getting up close and personal with those curves of hers. And being on the edge of discovery makes our quick-and-dirty encounters twice as hot. And that’s all they are—quick and dirty—there’s nothing deeper going on here.

There’s only one rule to keeping my job and a roof over my sister’s head: stay away from the boss’s granddaughter. But I’m not always great at following the rules.

REVIEW:  BRANDED BY CANDACE HAVENS

BrandedBranded by Candace Havens

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For me the draw of a first person narrative is the opportunity to get inside the head and feel what space an individual is in when they make some of the most important choices of their lives. With Callie and Cole, Ms. Havens gave her readers a sense of insecurity but Branded is not just a romance. It is about confronting fears and becoming a better and stronger version of who a person is meant to be. Outwardly, Callie has a great life. People who love and encourage her, a career path waiting for her and the means to hone her smarts and skills. Underneath the pluses in her life lies the guilt and insecurity that she can never succeed and will let down the people who mattered most to her. When she meets Cole, she sees someone with a chip on his shoulder but willing to work hard for himself and the people who rely on him. Branded tackles social prejudice, the value of being true to yourself and the wisdom gained from some of life's many lessons.

REVIEW:  MISS GOODHUE LIVES FOR A NIGHT (WINNER TAKES ALL) BY KATE NOBLE

Miss Goodhue Lives for a Night (Winner Takes All, #2.5)Miss Goodhue Lives for a Night by Kate Noble

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The saying: "Time heals all wounds." That mantra has been used so much, it's almost cliche but no less true than the first time it was uttered. Kate Noble took that quote and built a story of second chances around the wisdom of it. Cecelia has allowed her past mistakes to close her off from any chance at happiness. Her heart is barricaded in a water tight vault that will never be breached. When history seems to be repeating itself, she will do whatever it takes to protect the people she loves. Even face down the heartaches of her past. Miss Goodhue Lives For a Night is not all fun and games but Ms Noble mixes irony with humorous dialogue and irresistible bouts of maturity and romance.

REVIEW:  ADAM'S PROMISE BY JULIANNE MACLEAN

Adam's PromiseAdam's Promise by Julianne MacLean

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An act of faith leads to the adventure of a lifetime in Julianne MacLean's, Adam's Promise. I have always been verbal about my adoration of this author's historical romances. Her characters are bigger than life but their vulnerabilities are sincere and relate-able. Adam's Promise is a great blend of exciting and heartwarming. Adam and Madeline are thrown together out of necessity. She wants a chance to start over away from the gossip and heartache. He wants the girl of his dreams at his side to celebrate, his triumph. A slight of hand sends Adam and Madeline on a journey that is unlike any other. From acquaintances to friends and a chance at something more each has to look within themselves to find the courage to take a chance at giving themselves completely. Although wordy, Adam's Promise offers romance, hope and heart.
