Kennedy was willing to put everything on the line for the love of her family. Not having all the facts proves a road block but she has a few ideas that ultimately get her into hot water with the big bad wolf. Jagger is no pushover. Kennedy may be crazy and manipulative but she has his hormones in overdrive. What starts out as a little creative detective work ends up quickly becoming a battle of wills, with high stakes. I received an ARC of The Millionaire's Gamble by Sarah Ballance in exchange for an honest review. Just seeing a Sarah Ballance novel makes me smile. Her stories consist of people that love quickly, hard and completely. They go somewhat crazy along the way but that makes them all the more endearing.

Nik and Sara have a lot in common. Both have had difficulties in their personal lives. From a young age and despite trying to out run the past each gets sucked back into the darkness they have worked to break free of. I received an ARC of Billionaire Blackmail in exchange for an honest review. Behind the shell of ruthlessness Nik has built around himself lives a man that needs tender loving care. His childhood has made it hard for him to allow vulnerability in. He wants love but is scared to seek it out and get nothing in return but the pain he knows it entails. Sara is the other side of the coin, she wears her heart on her sleeve for all to see and that weakness allows her to be hurt and manipulated by the people she loves most. Protecting her family could end up costing her everything including her freedom. Ms. Aimes is gifted in that she takes a story with a grim story line and ends up writing an inspiring and sensual look at the benefits and pitfalls of love.

Griff is the coach with the tough as nails attitude. Sister Kathleen is as religious as she is a straight shooter, she tells it like it is. Linc, the horn dog teammate with sex always on his mind and Imelda the cut throat head of the local paper knows how not to be kind. I received an ARC of Playing by Her Rules in exchange for an honest review. A hotshot athlete and an aspiring reporter discover the second time around to be sweeter. Amy Andrews writes stories that are meant to be enjoyable. Her secondary characters are as key to the canvas as the central ones, so she has to create unforgettable and sometimes it works, others not so much. In this case every single one was essential to the makeup of the story and I loved every minute. The spice and vice came from Tilly and Tanner but the comic relief came from their supporting cast. Three cheers for the Sydney Smoke Rugby series.

One of the reasons I am a fan of Ms. Meader is that she knows how to pack on the heat without sacrificing the connection of the romance. With One Week to Score, I think she lost some of the romance and amped up the temptation. It worked. The fact that Olivia and Flynn had a past made the chemistry even more naughty. I have followed the Tall, Dark and Texan series from the first book and each is a tad steamier than the previous but get the job down with their complicated characters and seductive scenarios. Here's a little wisdom that I've learned over the years: "Always root for the underdog". Why? Hardship makes a person more tenacious in the quest for success. Ms. Sloane built her entire story around that valuable lesson with Wrong Bed Reunion. Gideon may have changed on the outside but still has the smarts as well as hidden insecurities he needs to work through. His tender heart makes him easily vulnerable but that is what I liked most about him. He was genuine. Georgia had to grow on me but she in no way impacted the way I felt about this cute romance.

This is the most frustrating pair of love birds written about. Half truths, secrets and heartache are around every corner. Gabby loves Vito, Vito loves Gabby but each has baggage that makes it hard for that love to survive. Will they succeed? Getting past all the surprising twists made the story hard to follow at times but the love conquers all mantra was cheesy but sweet.

Trade It All is much more complicated than it first appears. Tons of hidden layers make this story more than a romance. Yes, it is a love story but not the average type. Beneath all the back and forth drama lie secrets waiting to be revealed. Willa and Lance get caught up in a firestorm that ripples through history and relationships in a way that no one saw coming. Patrice in death still makes her presence felt with her poisonous vendetta and mysteries yet to be unraveled. Trade It All is so involved that it is hard to guess what will happen next, but the surprises add to the energy of the story. Families are frustrating, annoying and fight as hard as they love but that is what brings comfort. Ruth Cardello understands that relationships aren't perfect but messy. Anything worth having requires work.
