Received this book via NetGalley for an honest review. Rebecca Thomas' story of opposites attracting was an excellent read. Blindsided in an important moment, Sabrina finds herself questioning her choices. Searching for a new direction she winds up in Alaska. Trying to make a success of his business Zak does not have time to babysit out of place optimist. Pessimist Zak is trying to atone for a tragic event from his past. People from different backgrounds is a common theme in romance literature. Even though that is the case Ms. Thomas manged to create a story with great characters that leaves you feeling like you have just experienced it for the first time. I really had fun reading this story and would recommend it.

Rebecca Thomas enjoys a love-hate relationship with Alaska. She lives there with her bush pilot husband and two teenaged sons. When she isn’t reading, writing, or playing board games, she is cheering for her sons at their hockey games and tennis matches.

A reluctant reader as a child, she didn’t become interested in books until her teen years when she discovered historical romance. Now she loves all sub-genres of romance and can’t decide which one is her favorite.

Rebecca earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Alaska and was employed in the airline industry for several years before working in her current position as a program manager in higher education.
