BAD BOYS FOR HIRE: NICK BY RACHELLE AYALA

Release Date:  October 31, 2016

SYNOPSIS

This Christmas, paraplegic Carol Cassidy is caught between the naughty and the nice: a hired Santa and a disabled firefighter.

Carol was an avid mountain climber until an accident left her in a wheelchair. Love is the last thing on her mind when she hires Nick to play Santa. Shocked at the sensations he elicits, she resists him and decides to date a good guy.

Nick is drawn to Carol like a magnet to iron, and he sets out to prove that bad boys who hire themselves out can be good boys, too—especially in bed.

Carol discovers she’s not dead to passion, but when Nick’s dirty laundry is aired, she regrets choosing the naughty over the nice. Will the spirit of Christmas teach her that sometimes, a huge lump of coal can turn into the brightest diamond of love?

REVIEW:  BAD BOYS FOR HIRE: NICK BY RACHELLE AYALA

Bad Boys for Hire: Nick (Bad Boys for Hire #3)Bad Boys for Hire: Nick by Rachelle Ayala

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC Review: Bad Boys for Hire: Nick by Rachelle Ayala

Before reading Carol and Nick's story I was a fan, now I have become an addict. Rachelle Ayala is one addiction I'll gladly own. What began as a sexy read emerged as an expedition of hope. Nick knows how to have a good time. His wicked charm and bad boy looks have landed him in some awkward situations but he's always emerged unscathed. Until he meets the one woman that changes everything. Carol is unlike any woman. Immune to his charm and with more strength than even she realizes. In one moment her world changed and left her broken, bitter and bruised. Uncertainty, anger and fear are proving an overpowering combination for the once fearless adventurer, until she finds courage from the most unlikely of sources. Nick had depths that were hidden well. He was more than the party boy with sex appeal. A fighter recognizes that same trait in others and his heart heard the cry of someone in pain and answered the call. Ms. Ayala managed to accomplish the one thing I did not expect. She delivered a story that brought on the waterworks.

Wishing For Us: A Danvers NovelWishing For Us: A Danvers Novel by Sydney Landon

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A person's ability to expose themselves in their weakest moments is a sign of true character. Perhaps that's what I enjoy most about Ms. Landon as an author. Her knack of humanizing moments of triumph, heartache and showing how some of life's worst moments can become the most rewarding. I received a copy of Wishing for Us in exchange for an honest review. I'm bummed that I discovered the Danvers almost too late. Their devotion to each other whether family or friend is uplifting and the sparks they set off as they find love is irresistible. The beauty of getting to the end, is that there is always a chance to start over again.

REVIEW:  PICTURE PERFECT WEDDING (MAGNOLIA BRIDES) BY LYNETTE AUSTIN

Picture Perfect Wedding (Magnolia Brides, #3)Picture Perfect Wedding by Lynnette Austin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC Review: Picture Perfect Wedding (Magnolia Brides) by Lynette Austin

Picture Perfect Wedding almost reads like a grand saga. Beck and Tansy are on a quest. For Tansy that entails creating protecting her heart from further destruction and providing a chance for her child to feel happy and safe. Even if that means facing a past that she'd rather leave buried. Beck sort of comes across as a jerk in the beginning but due to the way things ended between he and Tansy, that's to be expected. Tansy allowed bad choices to decide who she became. Alcohol led to an event that changed her life but forced her to grow up quickly. Unfortunately, it also led to her breaking the heart of the one person she could always count on. Lynette Austin's stories are empathetic and captivating. She levels out the gripping emotion with the light hearted banter and the delightful characters she thinks up.

REVIEW: ANTHOLOGY:  CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY II

Christmas in the City IIChristmas in the City II by Samantha Chase

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Every year I anxiously await the the three month arc between October and November. Warm and fuzzy feelings electrify my heart for two reasons. Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas and The Christmas in the City anthologies. Love, memories and family are staples for this time of year and Christmas in the City symbolizes the giving spirit and pureness of heart, with a little naughtiness thrown in for good measure. This year, old favorite brings new life to second chances. Samantha Chase reminded me why I'm her fan for life with Christmas Once Again.

Christmas Once Again by Samantha Chase - The blueprint of a gifted author is the ability to touch readers. Ms. Chase has that noteworthy attribute. Hunter and Lexi took me through an emotive journey of passion, heartache and sentiment in such a short time that my heart filled to bursting. The biggest risk a person can take is to lead with the heart. Christmas Once Again reminds what following the heart feels like.

REVIEW:  BEAUTIFUL CRAZY (ROCK N' INK) BY KASEY LANE

Beautiful Crazy (Rock 'n' Ink, #1)Beautiful Crazy by Kasey Lane

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ARC Review: Beautiful Crazy ( Rock n' Ink) by Kasey Lane

Individuality does not have to necessarily be a bad trait to have. Our differences help define who we are. The ability to be unique is bigger than color, social standing and the amount of money in a bank account. The motivation lies within. Kevan is not the cookie cutter female that is normally found in a romance novel. She's a dreamer with a fearless spirit, a look that's all her own and a background as chaotic as the melodious rhythms that fill her spare time. In walks the man who hits the right notes with her heart but could upend more than her emotions. Beautiful Crazy blends melodic romance with drama to create beautiful tale of self - discovery. Being true to yourself will never steer you wrong.
