Eric, Wyatt, Cole and Chris were idiots. Their protectiveness of Anna started off adorable but quickly morphed into obsessive. Many times I wanted to yell "Get a life of your own." The CEO'S Seduction is part bro - romance, part romance and severely emotional. Anna was a strong woman who followed her heart despite the obstacles. Brett proved a frustrating conundrum. He drove me bonkers with the back and forth, yet he captured my heart with all the drama he'd endured. I literally ached for the lonely boy with the broken spirit and the man with the closed off heart. Diane Alberts turned emotional into excellent. Am looking forward to more from the crazy Hamilton brood.

First impressions are everything and with Luke and Grace, Ms. Byrne left a lasting one. With equal parts frustration and sensation, this couple made hot and cold work. What I liked most about The Millionaire's Revenge is that the characters kept me on my toes and as a reader that is a great compliment because bored would have been a draw back. The fact that the author allowed me as a reader to come to my own conclusion in this chess game of love proved a plus as well. This is my second read by Wendy Byrne and I am liking what I've seen so far.

Liliana Hart knows how to deliver spicy with a side of sweetness. Sweet Surrender lured me in with sugary goodness but got me hooked on the thrill of the chase. Although Grant and Liza's story is more of a whodunit than a let's do it type of read, action was the name of the game and boy did these characters live up to the call. Every gambit of emotion was on display from fear to sizzling temptation. The suspense was an added adrenaline rush but the ultimate payoff was chemisery that set the pages on fire. Sweet Surrender packs a powerful punch for such a short read.

Ms. Denault manages to execute some surprise maneuvers of the tempting variety but still appeal to the emotional aspect as On the Line goes for the win and scores big. Well done.

Bella is prides herself on her reliability both in her career and personal life but the image that she shows the world is different than the way she sees herself. Overpowering, possessive and sensitive. What else would be expected from a Shaughnessy. They are over achievers who live life to the fullest and love as hard as they work. Riley has all of these traits with an extra dose of charisma and insecurity that he keeps close to the vest, but when Savannah walks into his world and takes up residence in his heart, his sensors hit overdrive really fast. There are a number of reasons why I go fanatic over Ms. Chase's stories, mainly her family inspired tales. She does something I have not seen many authors do. Exposes the drama slowly from the inside out. In my experience that gives an easier understanding of who the character is. Riley is a rockstar but all the fame in the world does not make up for the heartbreaking loss he still struggles with. The measure of a man is not the secrets he keeps but the vulnerabilities he exposes. That is what makes connecting with Riley relatable to me as a reader.

What they have to teach each other is more the focus of the story than anything else. Charis Michaels is excellent at creating characters that are more than surface flash, you just have to dig deep to expose the layers, and along the way discover the enchanting side of the journey.

Here's my watershed realization. Lauren Layne, gets me. She writes stories that can breakdown emotions. She can write a story that will have me struggling to keep a straight face or fighting to hold back the tears. Someone Like You is a blend of the two that delivers a freeing experience. Lincoln and Daisy have seen some of their darkest moments play out in real time, right before their eyes. Broken hearts, shattered dreams and devastating losses have resided outside of their front door but a guardian angel has their back. All through this story I kept coming back to the adage about people coming into your life for a reason and that seemed to be the case with Daisy and Lincoln. In order to heal, each needed a friend. In order to move forward, they had to let go of the past. Like a fine wine, the Oxford series keeps getting better with time.

Ms. St. Claire adds her voice to an already stellar love story, the love of a father for his sons. Though not your average family, the enigmatic Brannigans are a captivating bunch.

Any character, whether male or female, that is not afraid to be true themselves, deserves a thumbs up in my opinion. Mary Elizabeth has the heart of a fighter, the spirit of a wild child and the mouth of a sailor. She's as original as can be and I loved that about her. The push back between her and Harold made for entertaining dialogue and electric sex appeal. The fact that Ms. English dares to be different in her writing is just as appealing as the unique firecrackers in her stories.

Arrogant much? I had a hard time seeing past Jamie's ego. There were many times I wanted to reach for my can of mace on principle alone. Then I'd get wrapped up in the back and forth that is Tori and Jamie and end up changing my mind. Never did I doubt the chemistry. Like a strangle hold it was hard to break loose from the electricity emitted. Hit the Spot aimed high with Jamie and Tori's heated romance. In the end J. Daniels ended on a high note with this laugh out loud battle of wills.

When trouble comes calling, can a handsome stranger save the Day? Or will the secrets of the past destroy any hope of a future? Ritchie could be a sanctimonious jerk at times but I do believe he cared. Maria needed a wake up call. When you love someone, it's hard to see things clearly. The Millionaire's Convenient Arrangement ending up taking me on an emotional journey that was a little preachy at times but left a powerful impact in it's wake. 3.5 stars

With each new Farraday sibling I find myself falling deeper in love with this family. When the chips are down, it's nice to know that someone has your back through good, bad and everything in between. With Declan, Ms. Keniston showed the evolution of family. From broken heart, surprise delivery and falling in love, the author went for simple, with loads of heart and a little bit of magic to create the sweetest dream come to life. Can I just say that I'm loving the phantom dog with a heart of gold and a penchant disappearing and reappearing to lend a helping hand.

ARC Review: Maybe This Time (Colorado Ice) by Jennifer Snow
Break the ice? Maybe this Time liquefied it with this ode to authors like Sara Richardson, Skye Jordan and Samantha Chase. What I find appealing in a writer is the coming together of emotion and thought. Ms. Snow created a character in Abigail that made it easy to empathize with and root for at the same time. Add in a dreamy hunk, an adorable little girl and the odds are that it will be love at first sight. In my case it proved to be. I'm glad I took a chance and came out a winner.

I have yet to meet a Malloy, I didn't like. Rugged, loyal, with a mile long wild streak and a big heart to match Luke is less of a loner and more of a nurturer. When he cares, he does it completely and that is both a strength and a weakness. His soft heart lands him some tough situations that build character but can also prove dangerous. Ingrid is his equal in every way except one. She works hard, cares deeply, but doesn't trust easily. How could these two strangers know that a simple act of kindness, would lead them down a path of danger, treachery, and love. There is never a dull moment with the Malloys. Adventure, suspense and romance are always on the agenda when you love a Malloy.

Through the pages of The Scottish Duke, Karen Ranney lured me back in time with the pageantry of a ball, the ambience of forbidden love and a dance of danger between the haves and the have nots. Lorna and Alex swept me into their dance of dangerous attraction, sensuous love and potent personalities. So realistically presented, there were moments where imagination collided with logical. Creatively engrossing.

Seaside Whispers by Melissa Foster

Why is it so hard to review a Melissa Foster original? She brings heart, family and inspiration to the table with every novel that she writes, which for me is both a gift and a curse. A gift in that she brings "sunshine" and hope to some of the most emotional stories ever written. The curse for me is trying to write a review without giving the story away. Seaside Whispers provides beautiful settings, adorable romance and that sweet Foster trademark charm I can't get enough of. It's nice to get away without all the unnecessary hassle of travel. Escapism at it's best.

They share a common goal, what differs is how to make that goal a reality. Henry is a man of the streets. With discipline, he rose above his limited resources and volatile surroundings and became a better man. Now he wants to give back to the community that made him. Maggie like Henry has seen what violence can do. She makes it her mission to protect the young minds of tomorrow by encouraging the use of mind over fists. When she finds herself embroiled in a battle of heart, mind and body with a man that represents everything she detests, her life gets even more complicated. Will pride end up costing more than these two fighters are willing to risk. Wired, Celi bet and Fearless may differ in topic but the central theme in the Solomon series as a whole is that one determined person can make a difference. That's a message I can get behind 100%.
