Romance that sneaks up on you and ends up stealing your heart. In the past, Vale has overshadowed her romances with suspense. With Freak Show the mystery takes a back seat and lets the connection between Slone and Caristonia shine through. The end result a hauntingly, sweet dance with heartache.
