REVIEW:  WRECKED  (AXLE ALLEY VIPERS # 3)  BY SHERILEE GRAY

Wrecked (Axle Alley Vipers, #3)Wrecked by Sherilee Gray

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have really enjoyed getting to know Alex, Rusty and Piper. These women make their presence felt in a field predominately dominated by men. The enigma is they have the skills, looks and drive to make their business dreams come true but insecurities and painful pasts have made these women unreceptive to love. I received an ARC of Wrecked in exchange for an honest review. It was great to finally find out more about Piper. She is always the one with an optimistic outlook for any situation, a friendly smile, a helping hand and the most easygoing and trusting. Sherilee Gray gives more insight into Piper's vulnerabilities with this story. We also meet Cole who is struggling with his own demons. I only had one flaw with this story. I did not see the need for some of the over dramatized stalking of Piper. It came across as unneeded. Wrecked is another story that is worth all the heartbreak and pain just to get to the happily ever after.

REVIEW:  BETTING ON THE WRONG BROTHER (WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS) BY CATHRYN FOX

Betting On The Wrong BrotherBetting On The Wrong Brother by Cathryn Fox

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A chance meeting at a romance convention. Already off to a good start. Cathryn Fox really caught my attention with Betting on the Wrong Brother. I am used to her brand of sexy romance that consists of high volumes of sensuality that bring the body to a boil and touched the emotions. Ryan and Andi's story had some of those qualities but it also tickled the funny bone as well. A traumatic event in her past has made Andi cautious and introverted. Ryan has struggled with self esteem issues as well. The one thing I loved about the What Happens in Vegas series is that it puts romance writers in awkward situations and humanized them. I don't want to give away to much but will say there are a lot of surprises. I received an ARC of Betting on the Wrong Brother in exchange for an honest review. Catherine Fox got it right.

REVIEWACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE WITH THE BIKER (WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS) BY TERRI ANNE STANLEY

Accidentally in Love with the BikerAccidentally in Love with the Biker by Teri Anne Stanley

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story had a lot to offer and started out with so much promise BUT for me the fluctuating tempo took something away from the momentum. That made me sad because I really enjoyed the characters. Kelli is a dreamer that wants to make a difference and longs to be a writer. Quinn has dreams of his own. He wants to make his family proud and do more with his life than muddle through. Like everyone they had their flaws but what I was charmed by was their hearts were what lead them to dream of a chance at a better life. Even though there were some issues with the story for me it proved to be an eye opener. Ms. Stanley created a proud achievement. Accidentally in Love with the Biker may not have been perfect but it was close to it. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Going All the Way has irresistible written all over it. Carrie is a walking disaster. She ends up in the most interesting situations and her ex is a jerk but that is what makes her appealing. Ryan is the serious to Carrie's catastrophe. He stables her but I can't say she has the same effect on him. She disrupts his life of order. BEYOND THE STARS BY STACY WISE

Release Date:    February 8, 2016

SYNOPSIS

Falling for him wasn't in the plans...

Most girls would kill for the opportunity to work for Jack McAlister, Hollywood's hottest actor, but twenty-one-year-old Jessica Beckett is ready to kick him out of her red Ford Fiesta and never look back. She should be spending her junior year in France, eating pastries and sharpening her foreign language skills. Instead she's reluctantly working as Jack's personal assistant, thanks to her powerhouse talent agent aunt.

Jack is private, prickly, and downright condescending. Jessica pushes his buttons—she's not the type of girl to swoon over celebrity heartthrobs, precisely why her aunt thought she'd be perfect for the job—and Jack pushes right back.

But as she begins to peel away his layers, Jessica is shocked to find she craves her boss's easy smile and sexy blue eyes. The problem is, so does the entire female population. And what started out as the job from hell soon has Jess wondering if a guy like Jack could ever find love with a regular girl like her.

REVIEW:  BEYOND THE STARS BY STACY WISE

Beyond the StarsBeyond the Stars by Stacy Wise

My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

Jack and Jessica are like oil and vinegar. They don't mix. Perhaps due to circumstance or just personality conflict. There were times that both came across as spoiled and self absorbed pain in the buts. It was amazing how much they had in common but allowed ego and bias to hold sway in their opinions. When I began reading Beyond the Stars it did not impress me but as the characters opened up more I slowly began to see there was more to love about these people. In the end Beyond the Stars was an in depth look at the life away from the cameras and was a story that surprised me. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

REVIEW:  THE MILLIONAIRE MAKEOVER (BACHELOR AUCTION) BY NAIMA SIMONE

The Millionaire Makeover (Bachelor Auction, #2)The Millionaire Makeover by Naima Simone

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Funky, sexy and moving. I received an ARC of The Millionaire Makeover in exchange for an honest review. Stories like this one are so delightful to find. Niall is a character that is fighting inner turmoil but is such a magnificent blend of arrogant, sweet and tortured. Khloe has a fragile heart and a dreamers soul. Naima Simone created a story that blends a modern day feel with what I find endearing about romance. I loved it and will be reading more of this author's work.

STRIPPED DOWN (LONESOME COWBOYS) BY ANNE MARSH

Release Date:    February 8, 2016

SYNOPSIS

“I warned her once—I don’t give warnings twice—that if she ever came back when she was grown up, she’d be mine. She flipped me off and told me I wasn’t the boss of her. She was playing with fire and she knew it, but she also thought she was safe. Off-limits. Taboo. She hadn’t figured out that the only rules I played by were my own.” ~ Angel Mendoza

When I come home to Lonesome, California, I’m expecting to inherit a house and a fresh start on my crappy life—not a hard-eyed cowboy. Angel Mendoza is more devil than saint. He’s also my former stepbrother, richer than God, and a sexy asshole to boot. I have no business wanting to get close to him. He’s got a few plans of his own, too—like getting into my bed and my body. Heart optional.

Angel’s need for total control in bed shocks and thrills me, but giving in and letting go isn’t easy. Despite everything he owns—the land, the vast wealth, the loyal cowboys who run his cattle—Angel is tormented by demons. He’ll give me his body, but never his secrets… or his heart.

REVIEW:  STRIPPED DOWN (LONESOME COWBOYS) BY ANNE MARSH

Stripped Down (Lonesome Cowboys, #1)Stripped Down by Anne Marsh

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Stripped Down was way too complicated of a read. I get that Angel and Rose had a history that went back years and maybe I would have understood more of the dynamic between these two if I knew a little more back history but that didn't happen so the floor plan of the story seemed off kilter. I received an ARC of Stripped Down in exchange for an honest review.

CALL ME MAYBE, BY ELLIE CAHILL

Release Date:  February 9, 2016

SYNOPSIS

“Ellie Cahill is definitely one to watch!” raves bestselling author Cora Carmack, and this steamy, upbeat modern romance about connecting in all the best ways proves it once again.

Clementine Daly knows she’s the black sheep. Her wealthy, powerful family has watched her very closely since she almost got caught in an embarrassing scandal a few years ago. So when Clementine’s sent on a mission to live up to the Daly name, politely declining isn’t an option. Of course, the last thing she does before boarding the plane is to grab a stranger’s phone by mistake—leaving the hunky journalist with herphone. Soon his sexy voice is on the line, but he doesn’t know her real name, or her famous pedigree—which is just the way Clementine likes it.

Despite all the hassles, Justin Mueller is intrigued to realize that the beautiful brown-eyed girl he met at the airport is suddenly at his fingertips. They agree to exchange phones when they’re both back in town, but after a week of flirty texts and wonderfully intimate conversations, Justin doesn’t want to let her go. The only problem? It turns out that Clemetine has been lying to him about, well, everything. Except for the one thing two people can’t fake, the only thing that matters: The heat between them is for real.

REVIEW:  CALL ME, MAYBE BY ELLIE CAHILL

Call Me, MaybeCall Me, Maybe by Ellie Cahill

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Call Me, Maybe is not a cookie cutter romance. Ellie Cahill brings a story with a You've Got Mail, Love Affair vibe going on. She took a scenario that could have come across silly and is unbelievable but still created a romance that had a quirkiness and innocence to it. Clementine is all over the place. She knows she does not fit in her upper crust family but wants respect, love and acceptance anyway. Justin is her match. He just might be her home. The problem? Clementine has not been completely forthcoming with info about herself. I received an ARC of Call Me, Maybe in exchange for an honest review. This story was really good. The dialogue funny, the characters entertaining and the story cute. Despite a slow start Ms. Cahill delivered an original story that is a winner.

REVIEW:  LEAVING YESTERDAY (LAUREL FALLS # 1) BY ZOE DAWSON

Leaving Yesterday (Laurel Falls, #1)Leaving Yesterday by Zoe Dawson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am used to reading Ms. Dawson's stories that are packed with humor. Leaving Yesterday was different. There were still traces of her trademark humor but over all this read was a journey full of emotion and self examination. Rafferty is a woman who uses travel as a way to escape the heartbreak and insecurity she keeps inside. Running from place to place allows her focus to be on work not disappointment. When circumstances force her to to stop and contemplate her life, career and feelings- she is at a lost. It takes a little small town charm, a sexy cowboy and a broken down ride to set her on a path to healing and finding true happiness. I received an ARC of Leaving Yesterday in exchange for an honest review. No, this is not the standard Zoe Dawson novel but it is just as good maybe better. To the Stars (Thatch #2)To the Stars by Molly McAdams

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To the Stars is a beautiful coming of age story. Ms. Adams takes her readers through the discovery of first love, the anguish of heartbreak and the trials of growing up. This romance is like de ja vu. Every vulnerability that is experienced from youth to maturity has been laid bare in this well crafted novel. The emotions are so realistic and the memories so vivid that it is like reliving the innocence of a simpler time. I received an ARC of To the Stars in exchange for an honest review. REVIEW:  THE BRIDE WORE STARLIGHT (SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN COWBOYS #3)  BY LIZBETH SELVIG

The Bride Wore Starlight (Seven Brides for Seven Cowboys, #3)The Bride Wore Starlight by Lizbeth Selvig

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lizbeth Selvig's writing connects to her readers. The Seven Brides for Seven Cowboys series was a discovery I do not regret. Thanks to Avon, Edelweiss and Ms. Selvig, I have loved every single book. Have nicknamed them the five star collection and will continue until the end. I was blessed to received an ARC of The Bride Wore Starlight in exchange for an honest review. It would have been so easy to see this read as a dismal look at life's heartbreaking moments. However, with a little bit of laughter, quite a few tears and outstanding writing this story became about appreciating the blessings and the lessons from each experience whether good or bad. Make the most of the time you have and the people you love. I am getting emotional just from writing this review.

The Tycoon's Baby: Billionaire Obsession (Tycoon Romance Book 1)The Tycoon's Baby: Billionaire Obsession by Julie Farrell

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finally happened. I got to meet the one girl in a family of alpha males. Clara Quinlan as expected is smart, beautiful and has every bit of the in your face, take charge personality as her brothers. She just has her focus on a different arena. Science. That is until Luca Romano enters her life and shakes up that focus. These two were a great match. Go-getting personalities, raised in families that breed contradiction with something to prove. The Tycoon's Baby was a hot bed of innuendos, lust, hot tempers and puzzles but it worked. Kept me interested in learning more. Great start to this series. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

REVIEW:  TAKEN BY THE RAIDER BY DANI COLLINS

Taken by the RaiderTaken by the Raider by Dani Collins

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Taken by the Raider is a love it or hate it story. Did not hate but did not like this story very much. The shortness of the story did not bode well for characters I found unlikeable and one dimensional. Griffen came across as a bully and Aubrey was his favorite toy. Aubrey was easily manipulated like a puppet on a string. There was a strong magnetism between the main characters. Griffen came across as an animal stalking his prey. I received an ARC of Taken by a Raider in exchange for an honest review. I am a fan of Dani Collins and though it pains me to say there were not a lot of pluses to this read.
