Megan Westfield's use of rocky mountains, dangerous cliffs and turbulent emotions were essential to the plot line of Lessons in Gravity. Josh and April use their careers as shields. Both are running away from hard to face issues. The problem is no matter how fast they run and how far they escape, troubles still persist. For April facing her fears is a big step but she has yet to come to terms with the painful memories that dog her every waking moment. Lessons in Gravity puts the emotion front and center. April and Josh's journey is like pulling of a scab. It burns, it lingers but eventually it heals.

His tenderness to a woman with hang ups about sex and trust. The care he took of a dog in distress. His interactions with the people he cared for and his propensity to never give up. It was obvious that this man was a nurturer with more than just a large pocket book to offer. So why was he the last to realize how special he really was? That was a trait that he and Rachel shared in common. The moment he started calling her "Dimples", I was a goner. The close knit communities, the busybodies and the friendly atmosphere always draw me to these types of stories. Somebody Like You had all the draws I look for in a story and changed up the dynamic a bit when an undercover celebrity stops in for a spell. Annelise has a life many would dream of. Her wealth has opened many doors for her but has put a limit on her need for a life outside of the spotlight. She longs for freedom outside of her fast paced life, he wants a chance at lasting happiness without stipulations. Annelise and Cash both want the same thing: "The chance to be happy. He was a character that I loved to hate but couldn't get enough of. Sage never felt comfortable in her own skin until she left home and joined the Army. An overachiever, she fit right in until life interfered and brought her home to face the insecurities she left behind. We're Going to Make It brings fire to Sapphire Falls. With two intense people and a ton of baggage things about to turn up in this small town. Passionately good.

Going the Extra Mile delivers a story that is full of laughs and love, but also has an inspiring message of courage and inner strength. The playful banter between Abby and Mike was the initial selling point for me. However, it wasn't long before the atmosphere of Sapphire Falls reeled me in again with the quirky but kind citizens and the sense of coming home. Ms. Alexander, definitely traveled the extra mile to remind readers why it's so easy to fall in love with Sapphire Falls.

Every child dreams of making their parents proud and having success come their way but shame and sorrow have become constant companions for this young woman. The big draw for me is that Erin Nicholas created a place from love and that feeling permeates every author and character that comes through it. Rachelle Ayala knows how to have fun. With Going Toe to Mistletoe she manages to blend her trademark whimsy with heartwarming sentiment. Troy is Mr. Lonely Hearts.
