Watching Willow (Gold Coast Retrievers #7)Watching Willow by Ann Omasta

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

She thought she had the world all figured out until a pint sized dynamo shows her how clueless she truly was. Watching Willow engulfs hearts in the adorable moments to drown out the heartbreaking ones. Omasta shows us how to be fearless. With the help of precious Buddy, she takes emotions on a heart thumping journey through self -doubt, heartache and danger wrapped up in intrigue and shrouded in romance. It's not whether you win the contest, but how you play the rounds. Willow Caleb and Buddy make every round count in the sweetest of ways.

Healing Hawk (Gold Coast Retrievers #8)Healing Hawk by Becky Muth

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Healing Hawk is a jumble of emotions. These characters have the power to bleed a reader dry with the intensity they exude. Hawk is one of those characters that is not easy to explore, but hard to walk away from. Nicole is a restless spirit. She's a fighter, despite the hard knocks life continues to throw her way. She doesn't need a hero, she needs to know that despite tragedy, she is still the warrior, she's always been. And that no matter what, she will never not be worthy of love. Ms. Muth appeals to the heart with this razor sharp, courageous read.

Shielding Shelly (Gold Coast Retrievers #9)Shielding Shelly by Emmie Lyn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

To conquer the shadows, there can be no fear of the light. Shelly has allowed the demons of her past to control her for far too long. Running away from the pain and constantly looking in the rear view mirror is no way to live. She has a great deal to learn about what it means to love and fate has sent her the right fellas for the job. Shielding Shelly rises above the darkness of despair. Lyn balances out the moments of heartache with the uplifting scenarios of inspiration. Max, Jake and Shelly show the heart how to heal.

Aiding Abby (Gold Coast Retrievers #10)Aiding Abby by Kim Koby

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I started reading this series for the unsung, cuddly heroes, but I continue to because of the power of the characters. Aiding Abby is everything. Koby turns tragic into inspiration, heartbreaking into life lessons and breathtaking into unforgettable. Both author and characters prove that words have impact. Abby lost her voice to tragedy, yet found the courage to let love heal her bruised heart.
