SYNOPSIS

Monica Murphy has done a beautiful job with the Fowler sisters series.  Each story takes the reader into the mind of the two main characters.  Taming Lily (Book3) is Lily and Max's story. At first I was not a big fan of the first person storytelling, I mean it takes some getting used to.  Then I started to realize Ms. Murphy knew just what she was doing.  It gives the chance to experience the story in Max and Lily's own words.  This gives the reader a chance to learn what each individual was thinking at a specific moment.  A genius way to capture the audience's attention.  Lily is an interesting character.  She displays a tough outer shell that land her in troubling situations but is really vulnerable, seeking acceptance and searching for someone to love her for herself.  Max's attraction is to Lily is primal.  She is his obsession in more ways than one. He wants to protect her from all but himself. But he has a secret that could destroy any relationship between him and Lily.  Taming Lily is a dark sexy read that will leave emotions in a chaotic freefall.  ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE!!!  Taming Lily was given to me for an honest review. (www.goodreads.com/review/list/25556913-isha-coleman)
 


STEALING ROSE (BOOK 2) BY MONICA MURPHY

SYNOPSIS

People say the youngest child has it easy, but nothing can be further from the truth. Unlike my two sisters, Violet and Lily, I’m never in the limelight. I just work my butt off for Fleur Cosmetics and get little to no thanks for it. I’ve been pushed too far one too many times, and I’m finally brave enough to do something about it.
 
Maybe my newfound courage has something to do with the amazing pink and white diamond necklace I wear to the party in Cannes. The instant those dazzling heirloom jewels touch my skin, they excite some deep, aching need inside. And when that guy—that totally gorgeous guy—locks eyes with me, I know this nice girl is going to be naughty.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.  An intense story about two people, that are not happy with the direction their lives have taken.  Rose is tired of languishing in the background and wants to break free.  Caden is tired of all the responsibilities that have been heaped on his shoulders for years-but bad decisions have led him down a dark path.  This is a book about two broken people looking for redemption and a light at the end of a dark tunnel.  Was not feeling the first person narration of this story.  The story itself was good but too long and wordy in some areas.   Overall, an enjoyable read.

SYNOPSIS
