Murder and a Texas Brisket gave me fits. I couldn't decide whether to laugh, scream or beg for more. Waller pulled me out of my comfort zone. Beatrice are Marlin are no Sherlock Holmes and Watson, but their allure is no less addictive. Columbo meets Perry Mason. Waller packaged these characters with just enough kookiness and smarts to endear and entice both mind and heart.
