Jackson isn't the type of story I would normally gravitate to. However, Davis cast a spell over me that allowed me to step outside of my head and listen to my heart. Flawed though he might be there are cracks in his armor that Vanessa is determined to expose. Though neither character is an easy like Puckett and Alder take on the task of showing the vulnerabilities that hide behind the darkness. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised and intrigued enough to finish in one day.
