Book Description

DOMINIC

One wrong step derailed my entire professional tennis career. Fleeing the spotlight, I head to Arbor Cove—the perfect place to focus solely on my recovery.

Helping the woman who threatened me with pepper spray is the last thing I should be doing. I can’t afford to be distracted by thoughts and fantasies that have nothing to do with returning to tennis and everything to do with making Tristan mine.

Especially after learning what being together could cost us both.

TRISTAN
One word shattered my world. Because of my parents’ crimes, I’m now the sole guardian of my three siblings.

Desperate for a fresh start away from the public eye, we trade NYC for the quiet town of Arbor Cove. My only priority is putting our lives back together—falling for a world famous athlete is not part of the plan.

Especially knowing Dominic Moreau can’t be mine to keep.

EXCERPT:

“Do you have any plans for the Fourth of July? There’s a bonfire and barbecue on Brighton Beach with fireworks. Gen and Liam have been begging me to take them. You should meet us there if you’re free,” I say without giving myself a chance to change my mind. A week ago I practically balked at the idea of dinner together in public, now I’m asking him to meet us at an event most of the town probably attends.

“July fourth? Seems random. What’s the occasion?” he asks, looking perfectly confused with a brow arched.

My mouth gapes on a gasp. “Um, America’s Independence Day? And you say you have dual citizenship!”

A slow smile spreads from one corner of his mouth to the other before he breaks into full-on laughter.

“You jerk!” I groan and roll my eyes before reaching over and punching him in the bicep. “I can’t believe I fell for that.”

He rubs his arm, feigning actual injury, but it’s only a second before we’re both smiling and I realize the mood has dramatically lightened. But then, I’m starting to feel that way every time I’m around him. Whether it’s been a stressful day at the gallery or I’m ready to tear my hair out because of one of my siblings, five minutes around Dominic seems to melt away the day’s stress. And I’m not sure that’s a good thing considering he’s only here temporarily, and once he’s gone our lives will certainly never have a reason to overlap.

“I don’t have plans, and I’m probably overdue for a proper American celebration.”

“Well then let’s hope Ellen and Kai invite you to celebrate because my invitation just got revoked,” I counter, proud of myself for keeping a straight face.

“That so? What if I just so happen to show up at the same time and continuously bump into you guys?”

“I’d say you might be turning into a little bit of a stalker so I’m gonna have to cut you loose.”

“Just like that, huh? Ouch.”

I shrug casually. “Somebody’s gotta keep France’s most eligible athlete humble.”

Blurb:
I’d spent years separating myself from my twin sister in every possible way. Until one day, I was offered a lot of money to pretend to be her.

It was supposed to be easy.

Look like her, dress like her, act like her. Don’t make friends, don’t be nice, and don’t fall in love. Get in and get out.

But I should’ve known that it wouldn’t be that simple. Being Tiffany Lewis’s twin sister was hard enough...being Tiffany Lewis was much, much worse.

A famous twin, a hunky neighbor who could ruin it all, and a film crew...what could possibly go wrong?

Everything. Everything could go wrong.

Horribly wrong.

EXCERPT:
We were face to face, and the room was still rather dim due to the storm that still raged beyond the window. I was very much aware that we were alone. No one could see us, no one could judge us; it was just him and me.

So I went for it.

Using my grip on his shirt, I tugged him closer while pushing up on my tiptoes, bringing our mouths together. It was soft and hesitant at first, but then I got a taste of him, and damn, was I hungry for more.

He brought his hands to my waist, which caused me to hesitate for a moment because I thought he was about to push me away. But when I felt him tighten his grip and pull my body against his, I knew it was safe to keep going.

His tongue slipped past my lips while I threaded my fingers through his hair.

We took one step back. Then another. Then another until he was sat on the sofa, my knees on either side of his hips. It was hot, and steamy, and sexy, and everything else I thought it would be. The one thing I didn’t expect was for it to be short lived.

And unfortunately, it was very short lived.

Out of nowhere, Jacoby pushed me away. Not just pushed me away, but he physically lifted my body off his lap and set me down on the cushion next to him. “Tiffany…” Talk about a mood kill; calling me by my evil sister’s name was like dousing me with below-freezing water. “You’re engaged.”

I didn’t need to hear any more. That was enough for me.

I got up and rounded the couch, not bothering to think about anything other than getting the heck out of there. I didn’t care if I left anything behind; I could replace it. What I couldn’t replace, though, was my dignity.

He called after me, but I ignored him as I opened the door and took off in the torrential downpour. Thunder rumbled all around me, the sky lit up like the Fourth of July, but that didn’t stop me. I didn’t care. I just wanted to leave. I wanted to get home.

I didn’t want to be Tiffany freaking Lewis anymore.
