I am floored. Reid and Rusty's story was an excellent read. Sherilee Gray nearly annihilated me. The emotions Revved evoked ranged from hot and sexy, to heartrending pain. These two individuals had faced so much suffering I was happy to see that they managed to rise above it professionally at least. Ms. Gray created characters that have so much to offer but have let the torment of the past continue to play a part in the current direction of life they are traveling. Baggage on top of baggage is what had to be sorted through. The Axle Alley Vipers series is my first foray into Sherilee Gray novels. Crashed and Revved are books that combine passionate storytelling with sensual romance. This series is what introduced me to Sherilee Gray. Am anticipating the final book. Once received will read the entire series again. It's that good. I received an ARC Of Revved in exchange for an honest review.

Blackmail has never been so rewarding! The Engagement Game is a sexy look at the mishaps of falling in love. Marcus and Rose never would have met if not for a letter mix up. This leads to a face to face meeting that sends these two outcasts down the pathway to love. Ms. Holiday's portrayal of Rose was ingenious. Beautiful on the inside but unsure of herself on the outside. Marcus was rough around the edges but getting to know Rose brought out a side to him that was caring and kind.
The beauty of this story is that it's uncomplicated, has a message and leaves the reader feeling good. I received an ARC of Jenny Holiday's The Engagement Game in exchange for an honest review.

Erica is a "fierce" mama lion. Whatever it takes to protect her son and make him happy is her top priority. The means she had to go to in order to make that possible made me sad. She was determined to succeed on her own. Tito irked me. He was so dictatorial. His way was the best way. I would have rebelled too. In the beginning the story was a little dull but as it went on it got better. Erica's fighting spirit, Tito's arrogant attitude and promise to a friend combined to make The Greek Tycoon's Tarnished Bride by Rachel Lyndhurst into a story that turned out better than it began. Had the pleasure of reading The Trouble with Love not too long ago. What I discovered was that Ms. Layne's female characters are smart, witty and not the average breed. She creates women who exude confidence but are dealing with the same issues every female does. Loneliness, struggling to blend in, body image and matters of the heart. Those are just a few things that Penelope struggles with in Irresistibly Yours. Cole sees Penelope as the competition, until he gets to know the girl behind the bravado. Irresistibly Yours is for every individual that wants to fit in. The message of this story is "be yourself and the rest will fall into place." I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Second story and loving this author.

She's just as spirited as he is brash. Ms. Enoch won me over the minute Catriona was introduced. I enjoy romance novels, particularly historical romance. Any character that is not a damsel in distress. Can take care of herself and is not afraid to voice her opinion is alright with me. Catriona and Munro are a fiery combination. On so many levels they should not have worked. Personality clashes, homeland differences and willful tempers. All of these things stacked the cards against them but proved inconsequential in the end. I enjoy reading books that connect a series, like it even better when the stories can be purchased as a set. That is what drew me to this anthology. The Christmas Cottage/Ever After set has a great deal to entice a reader. First off it has well written characters. Second both stories are delightful holiday reads that leave you feeling good. Third, an air of mystical intervention for each pair of our young lovers. Lastly but certain not least Samantha Chase. Her stories have a way of wrapping around the heart that in my case leaves me anticipating the next story. Family, friendship and life lessons always play abundant roles in her stories.
I usually fall for one character in each and ever story that I have read by her more than any other. To me these two stories warm the heart, touch the soul and will entertain any true romantic.

Kim Amos is an author that I have noticed repeatedly while looking to restock my Kindle. One day I thought: Why not give her a try, what have you got to lose? Am so glad that I did. One More Kiss is my first read by Ms. Amos. I found it to be a cute, witty story that inspires and entertains. One More Kiss is a whimsical look at gossip and prejudice, that is done in such a way that is not malicious or overdone. The small town feel gave the story a deeper meaning for me. One mistake does not a person make. It is the lesson that is learned that defines who they are.

No one else's opinion mattered but hers. Katherine didn't deserve him. I learned one thing from Virtuous Scoundrel. "Actions speak louder than words." Don't stand too close to the flames or you will feel the heat. Kim Redford has written a story that is quite intense. Fire plays a central role in this tempting read. An arson investigator and a firefighter are working together to solve a dangerous mystery. Working through personal demons, learning to trust each other and fighting an unexpected attraction. So far so good. Add in serious circumstances, constant twist and great storytelling and you can't miss.
My interest in books has taken me in many different directions and introduced me to a number of characters, but Misty was a force onto herself. Having endured so much in her life and still managing to soldier on was a great credit to the character and the author. A Cowboy Firefighter for Christmas is whole new type of holiday read. A little mystery and a lot of heat.

Tall, Dark and Wicked is a different type of story for me. Something about it just appealed to me. Ms. Hunter gave a look at two very complicated characters. Life events shaped them but love may rescue them. I did not get the story I expected with this read. However I did get a story with layers of hidden emotion and a hint of suspense. Jasper never expected to have a temptress like Ophelia fall into his lap, All he wanted was a night of fun. Now he has a wife who he doesn't completely trust, a murderer on the loose and is entangled in a mystery that may get them both killed. Manda Collins world conspiracies, secrets, lust, power and murder is full of excitement. A little confusing at times but overall a cool effort. First Season / Bride to Be by Jane Ashford

Whenever I read a book that consists of more than one story, I always find them hard to review. It is so hard to not spoil the story for others. I'll do my best though. Here goes.
First Season had all the makings a good story. The elusive second chance at love. Two handsome suitors and the mystique of the illustrious ball. It had a lot to live up to. For me it failed. I did not find the characters all that interesting and the story just wasn't very good.
Bride to Be is a suspenseful look at romance. A surprising reunion between two former acquaintances takes them in a direction that was never expected. This read is a more gothic regency. In my opinion the mysterious element is what gives it sex appeal and character. The character development is much stronger with Emily and Richard and the story is more interesting.
The beauty viewpoint is that everyone sees thing differently. So although this read was not for me, it may be perfect for some one else. I received an ARC of this 2 in 1 in exchange for an honest review.

Episode 3: Crosswinds by Elisabeth Naughton is so far the most scandalous of the series. Hurtful secrets start to come to light. Bad decisions start to be regretted. The impact on the children is revealed. In the wake of her brother Lacey is acting out and has become manipulative. So unlike herself. She sets her sites on the one boy that belongs to someone else. Each book in this series is better than the one before. This one hurt my heart because the whole time I'm reading it, I am thinking can the parents be so wrapped up in themselves that their not giving the children the guidance and support they need. Debra Salonen is an author I have grown to love over the years. The first time I picked up a book of hers was when it started. Ms. Salonen writes characters that are flawed, funny and fabulous. I received an ARC of Montana Rogue in exchange for an honest review. Amanda is a wonderful character. She makes bad choices and is stubborn but has a good heart. She is seeking acceptance and love from the people that matter the most. Her family. Tucker is hardworking, focused and suffering from an unexpected injury. What I found refreshing about these two characters is although nothing alike, they both struggled with fears of not being good enough. There were so many things that stood out for me in this story. The most compelling was that no matter what you do or who you are, you are special and important to others.
