THE BEST FOR LAST (WHISPERING BAY #4) BY MARIA GERACI

Release Date: December 15, 2015

SYNOPSIS

Welcome back to a world where smart heroines and hot heroes collide in the picturesque beach town of Whispering Bay!

Kitty Burke’s biological clock isn’t just ticking, it’s gonging. But who wants to be tied down by marriage and a minivan when you have an amazingly sexy boyfriend who worships the ground you walk on? Sure, Steve has never said those three magic words. But, Kitty knows he loves her. Some guys just have a hard time expressing their feelings, right? Right.

After three failed marriages, Steve Pappas is in no hurry to walk down the aisle a fourth time. As a matter of fact, he has no desire to ever say “I do” again. He’s a successful self-made millionaire, but despite the best of intentions, marriage is one arena he’s been unable to conquer. Kitty is funny, sexy, and whip smart—everything Steve has ever wanted in a woman and more. Their life is perfect the way it is now. So why rock the boat and ruin everything with a piece of paper that doesn’t mean anything?

When Kitty’s aging playboy father unexpectedly decides to tie the knot, Kitty realizes she’s been fooling herself. She does want it all—marriage, kids, but most especially, a man who isn’t afraid to openly declare his feelings. Can she convince her commitment-phobic boyfriend to take the ultimate chance? Or will she be forced to settle for Happy For Now instead of Happily Ever After?

REVIEW:   THE BEST FOR LAST (WHISPERING BAY #4) BY MARIA GERACI

The Best For Last (Whispering Bay romance, #4)The Best For Last by Maria Geraci

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It would be a major disservice to not experience Ms. Geraci's novels first hand. The Best for Last is not only a look at joys and pitfalls of living in a community where every knows your business, but it also explores how hearsay whether malicious or not can affect the lives of many. I received an ARC of this novella in exchange for an honest review. Steve and Kitty do care about each other. However, the lack of communication within the relationship quickly becomes a major problem. While each worries in silence over past regrets, outside influences and insecurities- they grow further apart. What they have to realize is that what matters most is that the bond they are forging remain strong and they have to trust in each other no matter what.

I truly enjoyed this story. Everything about it proved to be an irresistible lure. The characters were endearing and the story was worthy of a five star review.

Tuscan Heat (The Boudreaux Family)Tuscan Heat by Deborah Fletcher Mello

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Through the misunderstandings, conspiracies and matchmaking Donovan had the smarts to follow his heart. Tuscan Heat was presented to me by NetGalley and Harlequin in exchange for an honest review. Donovan and Gianna really aren't that different from each other. Both are successful in the career of their choice, have strong family ties and have the intellect to accomplish anything. I thought the brains proved to be a hindrance. Too much thinking and not enough doing caused them to miss out on experiences that they needed. Ms. Mello created a story with a homey feel that is as mellow as it is sensual.

REVIEW:  IN DEBT TO THE EARL BY  ELIZABETH ROLLS

In Debt to the EarlIn Debt to the Earl by Elizabeth Rolls

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Harlequin Historical is not my genre of choice. Has not been in many years. The reason I stopped reading this particularly series is that there was no growth or interest for me. After reading In Debt to the Earl by Elizabeth Rolls, I just might take another look. James has an agenda. To make his enemy pay by any means necessary. Lucy has a goal to survive the life she was born into with her head held high and her heart intact despite her father's abuse. Lucy sold this story for me. Her ordeal broke my heart but it also was wonderful to see a woman become stronger in mind, body and spirit. That is the type of heroine that is motivating to anyone that is facing adversity. I received an ARC of In Debt to the Earl in exchange for an honest review. The redemption and healing they needed was where they least expected to find it.

ROYAL MARRIAGE MARKET BY HEATHER LYONS

Release Date:  December 15, 2015

SYNOPSIS

Every decade, the world’s monarchs and their heirs secretly convene to discuss global politics and social issues—and arrange marriages between kingdoms.

Elsa may be the Hereditary Princess of Vattenguldia, but she finds the entire situation archaic and unsavory. While she wants what's best for her country, she isn't about to jump into an unwanted relationship—let alone a marriage—with a virtual stranger. Of course, her feelings matter little to her parents, whose wheeling and dealings over trade pacts and alliances achieved at her expense begin the moment they set foot in California for the Summit. So when a blindingly handsome royal runs into her, she doesn't hesitate to tell him there's no way she's marrying him.

Christian is all too happy to agree: no marriage. As the Hereditary Grand Duke of Aiboland, his main goal is to get through the summit without a bride being foisted on him. Which is why he suggests they help each other field potential intendeds. As Christian slowly gets to know Elsa, though, he realizes they have a lot more in common than just their feelings about the Royal Marriage Market. Only he can't fall for her, because royal or not, they're not meant for each other.

Elsa and Christian will have to evaluate matters of the heart verses those of state and crown, and decide whether or not tradition trumps love.

REVIEW:  ROYAL MARRIAGE MARKET BY HEATHER LYONS

Royal Marriage MarketRoyal Marriage Market by Heather Lyons

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To believe or not to believe that is the question. I am not very familiar with Heather Lyons as an author. What I do know is that from the moment I came across this story I knew I wanted to read it. Ms. Lyons has a vivid imagination and a unique voice. If I can tell that from one story, what have I been missing out on in the past. Elsa longs for the freedom to make her own choices. Christian is charming, arrogant and in the same situation as Elsa. The burden of birth and responsibility to their people heavily weighs on their minds. Royal Marriage Market is a story about having the strength to follow dreams when the odds are stacked against you.
