THIS IS THE PERFECT SEASON FOR TULE.

THREE NIGHTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS (MONTANA BORN CHRISTMAS) BY KAT LATHAM

SYNOPSIS

Have yourself a steamy little Christmas…

After three years in prison, freight train engineer Lacey Gallagher doesn’t expect this Christmas to be very merry and bright. At least chopping down trees for her brother’s Christmas tree farm will help her save money to get her life back on track. All her plans derail, though, when her new job puts her in territory patrolled by the man who haunts her dreams—the forest ranger who sent her to prison.

Austin Wilder isn’t thrilled about Lacey working in his forest—but he soon realizes he needs her help. His family is depending on him to restore an old steam train for a spectacular Christmas event, and train expert Lacey is his only hope of finishing in time.

Working together challenges every assumption Lacey and Austin have about each other, and they discover a desire hot enough to melt even the deepest Montana snow. But will the season of second chances be enough to mend the most hardened broken heart?

REVIEW:  THREE NIGHTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS (MONTANA BORN CHRISTMAS) BY KAT LATHAM

Three Nights before Christmas (Montana Born Christmas)Three Nights before Christmas by Kat Latham

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story is proof positive that one mistake does not define who we are. That is why I fell in love with this book and these characters. Lacey is a good person that trusted the wrong man and it ended up costing her three years of her life, her reputation and her self- respect. Austin has seen Lacey at her lowest and was instrumental in her spending three years in prison. Trusting Lacey is not easy for him. Needing her help is unexpected. As they work together for a good cause and he gets to know the insecure girl with the big heart, he starts to question all he thought he knew. Will his actions years before ending up costing him dearly? Or will Austin and Lacey find their own Christmas miracle? Kat Latham has written another wonderful tale. Lacey was one of Ms. Latham's best character's. In spite of the shame she endured she was still determined to prove she was more than her criminal past.

A Christmas HomecomingA Christmas Homecoming by Melissa McClone

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Christmas Homecoming is a short and sweet holiday treat. First off let me say that one of the things I find to be most intriguing about the story is it's tempo. I loved how she slowly leads the reader into a love story between the two main characters. That made the story for me so much more emotional because I got to learn some of the back history of their relationship as the story went on. On of the reasons that I always come back to Ms. McClone is that her understanding of emotion in her writing is superb. She is never showy but gets her point across and leaves me loving her work.

Finding Christmas is a story that is moving and introspective. From a very young age Maggie has always been a go getter. She thrives on the thrill of learning new things and experience new adventures. That is what motivated her to leave her home town and became a naval pilot. After Maggie returns home broken both mentally and physically for a fresh start is when the real adventure begins. As Maggie begins to heal she reconnects with old friends and finds new ones. Meeting Will becomes her wake up call. Will gives her the exact push she needs to see her injury in a new light. Overcoming it is hard but can prove to be a blessing. A whimsical yet sentimental holiday read. This story has feel good written all over it. With The Christmas Curse Erika Marks does what she does best. Write quirky characters, stir up emotional that make you glad you took a chance. The small town scenario and the feeling of family and friends I loved this story.
