Light My Fire by Christie Ridgway

Light My Fire is a blend of love, family and rock and roll. Raised as rock royalty Ren and Cilla were worlds apart. She was young, shy and quiet. He was older, rebellious and off limits. Years later the two are reunited. With a little help from a fallen friend, these two opposites may find the home they wanted, but never received. I have read a number of Ms. Ridgway's stories. Though each is unique they share the link of appreciating the blessings in life. I love that.

Love Her Madly by Christie Ridgway

I was introduced to the Rock Royalty series when I purchased Light My Fire (Book #1) from Amazon. I had read Christie Ridgway in the past and figured I would check the series out. Enjoyed it so much I knew I had to read Love Her Madly (Book #2). The thing that I enjoy most about this series is that the assumption that these characters live charmed lives is way off base. They have faults and have to face obstacles like everyone else. Bing has been labeled as the "bad twin" so long, he sees himself that way. Jumping from bad choice to sticky situations, it is almost as if he deems himself unworthy of love and happiness. Alexa is his one weakness. She has always held his heart. Alexa has the loving family that Bing has always dreamed of but she doesn't feel like she can measure up to the expectations of others. It is interesting that neither sees it, but they are the guiding light in the each others world. Love Her Madly is a magnificent story of pain, redemption and the healing power of love.

Break On Through by Christie Ridgway

Ms. Ridgway took an interesting approach with Break On Through. Reed and Cleo are different as night and day. Reed is a pessimist who has shut himself off from the outside world after a tragedy. He lives vicariously through the stories he writes not letting in the opportunity for more pain. Cleo has endured her own share of hard knocks. A single mother seeking a chance to start fresh and create a better environment for her children, she plays the hand life dealt her with optimism. I found it funny that she managed to weaken the walls of Reed's heart but her children were who broke right through it. Along the way each learns that in order to find the bright side you have to face the dark alleys.

Touch Me by Christie Ridgway

Payne has always been a risk taker. But his bravado takes hit when faced the biggest risk of all-LOVE. Rose is everything Payne wants but feels he is not capable of having. An impetuous act in her youth broke her heart. Payne's rejection stung and sent her life in her different direction. But recent events are causing her to question giving up so easily. When two immovable forces but heads explosions are sure to follow. Christie Ridgway's Touch Me is smart, sensitive and tempestuous.
