My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received an ARC of Everywhere and Every Way by Jennifer Probst in exchange for an honest review. The fact that my time was not wasted on a long drawn out story was a plus. Ms. Probst with her clever characters, fast paced story and humorous dialogue made me a very happy camper. The back story of Caleb's family issues and Madison's control issues added to the appeal of this sexy, sassy and seductive read. The Billionaire Builders series is off to a good start.

REVIEW: HEART OF A BAD BOY (THE BAD BOYS OF DESTINY # 3) BY SUGAR JAMISON

Heart of a Bad Boy (Destiny #3)Heart of a Bad Boy by Sugar Jamison

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ms. Jamison knows how to create a heartthrob. I received an ARC of Heart of the Bad Boy by Sugar Jamison in exchange for an honest review. The King brothers are worthy of some serious salivating. Tough on the outside but marshmallows on the inside. What woman wouldn't love that?Add the complicated history between these alpha men and their hometown of Destiny, you get stories of redemption and triumph. Heart of a Bad Boy is baby brother Levi's story. With the many upsets in his life Levi's sense of stability was almost non-existent. Family tragedy, physical abuse and prejudice were abundant fixtures within his childhood. There was a bright spot though. His best friend Shelly who looked beyond the renegade and saw the heart of a lost boy. Circumstances separated them but the ingenuity of a shrewd old woman and the pull of family bonds make for a love story that proves to be a combination sweet and salty good time. Have a soft spot for those bad boys and Sugar Jamison delivers.

STACKED UP (WORTH THE FIGHT) BY SIDNEY HALSTON

Release Date:  May 31, 2016

SYNOPSIS

Opposites attract in this seductive novel from the author of Against the Cage (“Funny, steamy, scorching.”—Toni Aleo), with a chiseled MMA fighter falling for a single mom who could use a real man in her corner.

Working two jobs to support her infant daughter is harder than anything Penny Richards has ever done, but it sure beats living under the rules of her stepfather, a television preacher who demands a picture-perfect family. And if Penny hadn’t struck out on her own, she never would have met Travis Calhoun. The intensely physical heavyweight brawler has a way of drawing out her wild side. But Travis lives fast, with no responsibilities—and that just isn’t for Penny.
Most of the women in Travis’s circle wear tight clothes, high heels, and tons of makeup—not pearls or plaid headbands. But once he works past Penny’s inhibitions, Travis discovers a kindred spirit who longs to trust someone with her body, and her secrets. Still, Travis can’t help but wonder if this rich girl is just slumming it before she returns to her privileged life. Now it’s up to Penny to prove that she wants her hard-edged, hard-loving fighter just the way he is.

REVIEW:  STACKED UP (WORTH THE FIGHT) BY SIDNEY HALSTON

Stacked Up (Worth the Fight, #6)Stacked Up by Sidney Halston

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ARC Review: Stacked Up (Worth The Fight) by Sidney Halston

Travis was eye-popping, mouthwatering, pantie dropping delicious. The way he looked out for Penny and her daughter was fantasy material for sure. What made it even better was that he had no clue how awesome he was. Trademark Sidney Halston. Ms. Halston can get down and dirty with the best of them when it comes to her writing skills. I always knew there was more to Penny. She had a strength that was born of necessity. Her dreams seemed a long way off and life had not been kind but she loved hard and was willing to humble herself over and over in order to provide for her daughter. Knew Stacked Up was going to be good but it exceeded my expectations. It was marvelous: 5+++ review.

Let’s give ‘em something to talk about…

If gossip is the lifeblood of a small town, then Lizzy Logan has been its beating heart. After being dumped by her fiancé for another woman, she could have decided to crawl under a rock. Toby Dawson never was and never will be the settling-down type. But what harm could there be in agreeing to be Lizzy's pretend boyfriend? They'll put on a show for a few weeks and be done. Yet the more he gets to know Lizzy-really know her-the harder it is for him to keep his hands off of her in private. Soon this rough-and-ready cowboy is hoping to heal Lizzy's bruised heart and turn their fake affair into a true romance…

REVIEW:  HOT COWBOY NIGHTS (LUCKY PENNY RANCH # 2) BY CAROLYN BROWN

Hot Cowboy Nights (Lucky Penny Ranch, #2)Hot Cowboy Nights by Carolyn Brown

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stories set in small towns are the best kind. There is a feeling of welcome that comes over me whenever I come across a story like Hot Cowboy Nights. The family atmosphere calls to me. The slow pace delivers a sense of security not found in larger areas. What I enjoy most is the mischief and gossip that goes on. Carolyn Brown brought every element to life in her latest novel. I received an ARC of Hot Cowboy Nights in exchange for an honest review. Lizzy and Toby set tongues wagging with the charades they pulled. It was easy to get wrapped up in this picturesque romance and lose track of time. An afternoon well spent for this romance lover.

KISS ME THAT WAY (COTTONBLOOM) BY LAURA TRENTHAM

Release Date:  May 31, 2016

A river divides Cottonbloom in two: the upscale enclave on the Mississippi side and the rundown, rough and tumble side in Louisiana. They’re worlds apart—but nothing can build a bridge like love…

Cade Fournette never had it easy Cottonbloom. He stuck around long enough to raise his orphaned siblings and then hightailed it out West—and never looked back. Even though he’s made a success of himself in Seattle, Cade never lost the toughness and the angry edge that helped him survive down South. His only weak spot: the girl he left behind…

It was Cade who did that, on a long-ago hot September night, before he disappeared…along with a piece of her heart. Now Monroe is a physical therapist who can fight for herself, and it’s Cade who could use some conditioning when he makes an unexpected return back home. Will he and Monroe pick up where they left off and finally explore their mutual passion—or will the scars and secrets of the past divide them once more?

Kiss Me That Way (Cottonbloom Novels, #1)Kiss Me That Way by Laura Trentham

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ARC Review: Kiss Me That Way (CottonBloom) by Laura Trentham

From the outside looking in, it's easy to judge the have and have nots. Money, power and privilege equals happiness. Poverty equals misery. But is that always the case? With her latest novel, Laura Trentham removes the blinders and gives readers a clear view of how dark and unfair circumstances can be no matter who you are, or what you have. Cade was used to looking out for himself. He had to be the strong one in order to provide for his family. Monroe was his complete opposite. She had an enviable life. A wealthy family that kept her safe from the painful existence that Cade had to endure. But appearances can be deceiving. Kiss Me That Way delivered some hard truths about pride, life and prejudice. It takes a strong person to endure the obstacles that Monroe and Cade did and rise above the anger and bitterness.

Dirty Love (Dirty Girl Duet, #2)Dirty Love by Meghan March

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After the bombshell that closed out Dirty Girl, I had a hard time picking my jaw up off the floor. Definitely unexpected reveal. The surprises didn't end there. Dirty Love delivers more twists in this rocky romance of sex, lies and secrets. Enjoyed getting to see Logan again and am looking forward to him finally finding his soul mate. Dirty Love was choppy in the delivery in some areas but Greer and Cav's antics are sure to keep the heart racing and the hormones overload raging.

REVIEW:  INTO THE WHIRLWIND (BOSS, INC.) BY KAT MARTIN

Into the Whirlwind (BOSS, Inc. #2)Into the Whirlwind by Kat Martin

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kat Martin is the author I go to when I need a little spice in my life. Her stories are legendary. She mixes every genre from romance to action, to temptation. What I response to with Ms. Martin is that no two stories are the same. Some are more emotional than suspenseful but still have that something that makes me respond to her novels. Into the Whirlwind is the first chance I had to experience her Boss, Inc series. A mother willing to risk everything for her child and the man that holds the key to her past, could be the answer to her present. I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Into the Whirlwind is full of sizzle and packed with suspense. An exciting read that gets better and better.

ARC Review: The Peppercorn Project by Nicki Edwards

It's hard not to feel a deep well of emotion for The Peppercorn Project. A woman forced to be strong for the sake of her children. A man seeking a little peace after a heartbreak. Neither loss has been easy to bounce back from. So how does a tiny town bring these two spirits the hope and healing they crave? Issie is a character that is easy for any woman to empathize with especially a mother. Tragedy brought about more character to this broken woman. It took a great deal of courage for a woman with nothing but the love for her family to take the steps she did to provide for herself and her children. The Peppercorn Project is a spiritual revelation and a story that will uplift as well.

REVIEW:  DUKE OF SIN (MAIDEN LANE) BY ELIZABETH HOYT

Duke of Sin (Maiden Lane, #10)Duke of Sin by Elizabeth Hoyt

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Historical romance is a favorite genre of mine. It is only natural that I encounter books by a prominent author like Elizabeth Hoyt. Ms. Hoyt writes dashing stories of love and deception. I tend to lean toward the opinion that she writes stories that are filled with adventure but with a hint of romance. The thrill of Duke of Sin is that there are two sides to every character. The struggle between loyalty and vengeance leads to a novel that is shrouded in secrets and can be wordy but still a page turner. I received an ARC of Duke of Sin in exchange for an honest review.

What I find fascinating about Cathy Maxwell is that each time I think I have her figured out, she surprises me by going in a different direction. I received an ARC of The Fairest of Them All in exchange for an honest review. Char and Jack are the pieces to a story full of puzzles that are revealed little by little in this enigmatic read. The romance is sweet and sensual, the story is a maze of edge of your seat suspense and breathtaking yet moving events.

Lana and the Laird (Untamed Highlanders, #3)Lana and the Laird by Sabrina York

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What appeals to me about Lana and the Laird is that Lana is not a damsel in distress. She isn't in need of rescue but ultimately proved to be the saving grace for Lachlan. I received an ARC of Lana and the Laird in exchange for an honest review. Hard to believe that Sabrina York is a fairly new author to me. In such a short time I have become enamored of her hypnotic stories. With a smidge of mystical, Ms. York has spun her web of sultriness and gained a fan in me.
