Only for a Night (Lick #1)

READ AND REVIEW

ONLY FOR A NIGHT (LICK) BY NAIMA SIMONE

Release Date:  May 30, 2016

SYNOPSIS

Rion Ward fought hard to be free of the Irish mob life. Now, as the co-owner of Boston’s hottest aphrodisiac club, he’s traded crime for the ultimate sexual fantasy. But when the “good girl” from his past walks through Lick’s doors, he discovers that his unconsummated hunger for her never abated.

Widowed for two years from a man who felt that anything besides the missionary position was dirty, Harper Shaw is ready to move on. The first step to feeling alive again is sex. Hot, dirty, black-out-from-orgasm sex. And who better to provide it than the brooding, sexy, tatted bad boy-turned-man she’s known for years?

Rion, however, has one stipulation: He’ll be hers only for one night. One night to explore her every fantasy. One night to push her limits. One night to introduce her to a passion that makes both doubt if it will be enough…

Only For A Night (Lick)Only For A Night by Naima Simone

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

ARC ReviewOnly For A Night (Lick) by Naima Simone

Only For a Night has a mellowness that I did not expect. Rion has that dangerous edge that makes him a great target for dirty fantasies and Harper is his forbidden fruit. There was a hardness to Rion that was his shield against the darkness that permeated his life from an early age. He allowed it to influence his relationship with the one bright spot in an otherwise turbulent existence. Harper. Her heart has always belong to Rion but can she convince him of that? Ms. Simone kept the story short but still managed to convey a story that was about more than hormones. Only For a Night is about triumph over adversity and making sure every second counts.

ACCIDENTALLY COMPROMISING THE DUKE (WEDDED BY SCANDAL) BY STACY REID

Release Date:  May 30, 2016

England, 1817.

Edmond Rochester, the duke of Wolverton, is seeking a wife to care for his two daughters. A young lady of sensibilities, accomplishment, and most importantly, one who he is not attracted to—a complete opposite of the bewitching beauty who traps him into marriage. REVIEW:  ACCIDENTALLY COMPROMISING THE DUKE (WEDDED BY SCANDAL) BY STACY REID

Accidentally Compromising the DukeAccidentally Compromising the Duke by Stacy Reid

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Edmond and Adelaide's story was more than scandalous. I received an ARC of Accidentally Compromising the Duke in exchange for an honest review. Due to the fact that I read so many different types of stories, it is hard to surprise me. Stacy Reid did. A spur of the moment plan, leads to a hasty union between the most unlikely of suspects. Adelaide is a fun character. She acts before she thinks and that makes for a lot of hilarity. Edmond is more serene. Rough around the edges, closed off to the masses but when he loves, he does so with such depth that it is self-destructive. Adelaide got to see the sides of him that he did not reveal often and Edmond ended up playing a pivotal part in helping her settle down. Ms. Reid's story of loss, love, laughter and healing is all that I look for when reading romance and deserving of a 5 star review.

REVIEW:  TO LOVE A LIBERTINE BY LIANA LEFEY

To Love a LibertineTo Love a Libertine by Liana LeFey

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A taste of the forbidden leads to more than either bargained for. Liana Lefey pulled me in with To Love a Libertine. Danger is a welcome backdrop to this intricate foray into love. Percival and Eden have so much working against them. Secrets, disapproving family, vendettas and trust. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and would describe To Love a Libertine as complex, fast paced and addictive. Ms. Lefey made quite the impression on me with this mysterious and unforgettable couple.
